I've been researching some things for Of Fox Maws and I am tickled pink to learn that the only creature (among said creatures for au) who doesn't change fur colors is a wolf. So, it's gonna be Y/N, Sun, and Moon getting ready for summer with darker furs (Y/N's snowy coat changes to a deep brown color, still with black tips at the end of their ears, Sun's fur becomes a golden brown, and Moon's fur darkens to a gunmetal blue) and Eclipse is still blindly snow-white and very unbothered by how that makes him stick out in a mild arctic tundra
Eclipse adores his darling bunny's fur, shiny and soft for summer, and compliments them on how beautiful they are (which turns Y/N a deep shade of red.) Y/N feels awkward and exposed beside his great, glistening coat but they do help him shed some of the thickness to lighten up for the slightly tamer months, which means Eclipse must hold very still lest he spook them.
Sun and Moon have even more excuses to touch Y/N's silky fur. Of course, they're helping the little hare groom away their winter coat and pick out any leaves that stuck to them while they were out foraging. Y/N doesn't notice much of Sun's and Moon's fawning as they think the foxes are usually touchy, so it's just another warm day spent with the creatures who have yet to nibble on them.
