my unpopular opinion is that yaldabaoth could have and should have been an incredibly interesting villain if his storyline hadnt been wasted because it takes a certain type of internal conflict to actually aid the person who’s supposed to be destroying you over the course of several months, offer advice and even insight into your own conflicted feelings, and then ultimately fall into so much despair over humanity that you feel like you have no choice but to remove all will and autonomy from individuals
eventually they executed that villain concept a lot better in p5r but imo it still would have been really cool to have a non-mandatory s link with yaldo, where you voluntarily spend time with him to learn more about his position as a minor deity, that affects the game’s ending.
