FYI
Firstly, none of these are aimed at anyone. Just random things that I think I will be adding to my rules that I would like to make you all aware of.
#1 If you ask for a starter, either directly, or by liking a starter call post, please respond to the starter that I make. If you are unable to respond in a timely manner, please at least like it or give me some other form of notification that you saw it, and intend to reply.
If I make a starter for you that you find no inspiration for, or just do not like for whatever reason, please let me know. I'm more than happy to edit, or create a new starter.
If, however, the starter goes ignored, and it is not because of inactivity, I will check with you after a few days to make sure you saw it, and it didn't get lost on your dash. If I either receive no reply (and it's obvious that you are still quite active), or I do receive a reply, but you make no effort, I will not make a starter for you the next time you ask.
I have had this happen to me in the past, and I have absolutely zero patience for it. Any excuse you can give me for why you weren't able to take 3 seconds to like the post -- or otherwise notify me that you saw the starter -- is complete and utter bullshit.
I am going to start following this rule as well. If you make a starter or me, I will like it, or use another form of communication to let you know that I have 'received,' it, and that it is saved in my drafts, and tracked on my thread tracker for me to reply to.
#2 If you are unable to reply to a thread we have, starter or otherwise, within 10-15 days, please let me know. I have absolutely no issue with you taking as long as you need to reply to a thread. I would just appreciate being kept in the loop, as it were.
To make sure this isn't a case of you just losing track of the thread, your tag breaking, your thread tracker breaking, etc, I will message you after a few days of hearing nothing from you. If I hear nothing from you, I will remove your thread from my tracker.
So if we have a thread going, and you've taken, say, 17 days to reply to it, please let me know if I do not reply within a few days. Odds are, after that long, I've removed it from my tracker and I may not have seen your reply.
This is not a case of, "Reply in 10 days, or ELSE!" My tracker is just starting to get cluttered up with a bunch of old threads that people are replying to. Hell, you can reply to a thread that we starter three months ago if you want. Just let me know, because it won't be on my tracker after that long.
#3 Starting now, I will no longer be doing welcome starters for new followers. Firstly, the majority of my welcome starters go unanswered. I may still do welcome posts of a sort from time to time, but not welcome starters.
I do not want new followers to feel pressured, and I don't feel like expending the energy to create new starters for everybody when only one out of, maybe, ten gets answered.
