Marauders/wolfstar blog but top three posts are about stranger things
If you (yes, you!) have any ideas or commissions for a marauders story please send me an ask i am foaming at the mouth to write something
aaaa you're so unbelievably talented! i was thinking something about remus being worried about raising harry either because of the moons or just because he doesn't think he'd be a good enough parent (im basing this off how he left tonks after teddy was born) and sirius reassuring him that everythings going to be okay
much love :)
“He’s cute when he’s sleeping, isn’t he?” Sirius said, smiling fondly at the boy asleep in his cot.
Remus felt his heart give a painful tug. Moments of domestic bliss were not supposed to be accompanied by pain, but no matter how much Remus loved Harry, everything served as a constant reminder as to why he and Sirius had to care for him in the first place.
Lily and James Potter had only been gone for three weeks. That was all. They were weeks full of grief and crying and him and Sirius desperately trying to be okay. Harry had been both a distraction to the pain and a reminder of it.
“Yeah,” Remus said, quietly. “Do you ever think Albus was right?” he asked, cautiously, “that Harry should be with the Dursley’s?” The thought had been playing on his mind ever since they had been told they were allowed to keep him with them, despite Dumbledore’s wishes.
Sirius removed his hand from Remus’ shoulder and looked at him. “No. Of course I don’t. You remember Lily telling us that Petunia called her a freak, don’t you? I’m his godfather, Remus, Lily and James wanted me to take care of him if anything happened to them.”
“They never said anything about me though...” Remus said slowly.
“What?” Sirius asked, bluntly. “James and Lily love you- loved you.” Remus watched Sirius wince as he corrected himself to the past tense. It sent a pang of sadness straight to his stomach.
“I know, but—”
“Harry loves you, Remus, I love you.”
“I love you too, but—”
“But what?” he shot, “There isn’t anything more too it!”
“Yes there is!” Remus had raised his voice now, “I’m a werewolf, Sirius, I’m classified as a wizard killer by the ministry! Why do you think Dumbledore suggested he live with the Dursley’s?”
“Because he didn’t want Harry in the wizarding world after—”
“There’s that, but it’s also because of me! Because I’m dangerous! Because I...” he trailed off. The look of hurt on Sirius’ face alone was enough to stop him in his tracks, but his raised voice had woken Harry.
Remus quickly walked into his room and picked him up, bouncing him lightly and rubbing small circles onto his back. “It’s okay,” he whispered, “I didn’t mean to wake you.”
Harry kept his crying up for a few more moments and Remus kept soothing him until, eventually, his head slumped onto Remus’ shoulder and he drifted off to sleep again.
Remus caught Sirius watching him in the doorway with a soft expression. “What?” he whispered, conscious of the sleeping boy still in his arms.
“Dangerous wizard killer my arse.”
Remus rolled his eyes and placed Harry gently back into his cot. “Full moon in two days. I’m sorry I snapped it’s just…”
“I know, Moony. But Molly Weasley agreed to take Harry, and I’ll be there with you, and it’ll be okay.”
“You make it all sound so easy,” Remus sighed, wiping his eyes quickly.
“Are you joking? I’m so out of my depth, Remus, I don’t— I went most of my childhood without good parents, I’m not really sure how it works. I’m not sure what I’m doing, and I’m scared for a lot of reasons but you being a werewolf is absolutely not one of them.”
Remus looked over to where Harry was sleeping and then over to the framed photo of Lily and James on the windowsill. “I really want to do this right. For him,” he nodded to Harry, “and for them,” he nodded to the photograph, “and I’m worried I’m not up to it.”
“What was Harry’s first word?” Sirius asked, raising an eyebrow. “What was it?”
Remus laughed and felt himself tearing up again. “Lily always claimed she heard mummy, you know.”
“Lily was lying to make herself feel better.” He poked Remus softly in the chest. “Moony. That’s what he said. And who is the only person he’ll let read him bed time stories?”
“You don’t do the voices,” Remus muttered.
“And last week when he fell over, who was the person he wanted to comfort him, hm?”
“Yeah, alright, I get it.”
Sirius smiled and leant up onto his toes slightly before wrapping Remus in a tight hug. “That boy loves you. Do you remember what James said to you, the night we asked you about where you go every month?”
Remus nodded into Sirius' neck and hugged him harder. They had all been twelve at the time, and had confronted Remus in the dormitory; Remus had never been so scared in his life. But James had smiled at him and said, as though it were the most obvious thing in the world, “Your... furry little problem doesn’t change anything. You’re still Remus Lupin.”

Wolfstar muggle au!! Part 3!
It was halfway through June now and Remus was bored shitless
A heatwave had started up a few days ago so Remus's week had consisted of either sitting in front of a fan and wishing for death or cycling the thirty minutes to the large lake near his house and swimming in the cold water for a break from the heat
Remus loved the lake, but the thirty minute cycle and his mothers fussing put him off going most of the time
As it was, it was ten in the evening and the sun was only just starting to dip below the hills on either side of the valley
His mum and dad had gone in to town for the night to stay with some of their friends leaving Remus alone until tomorrow morning
Not that Remus would actually do anything different to his usual routine
Dinner, book, bed
Remus was currently lying in his bed on top of the sheets in his room with the windows thrown open in nowt but his boxer shorts with his fan on, starting to doze off
Or at least he was until he heard an engine
His was one of only a few houses in this valley, and there wasn't exactly a lot of through traffic, but his parents weren't supposed to be home until tomorrow morning
Remus was still lying in bed, having decided it was too hot to move to see who it was, when he heard the ending approach his house and cut off with a rumble and then...
Was that music???
It was! And he knew the song too, it was Howlin' For You by The Black Keys, the song that Sirius would always sing to him
A slow grin spread across Remus's face as he pushed himself up out of bed, walking towards the window
Sure enough, standing below his windowsill with a glossy black helmet in one hand, leaning on a glossy black motorbike with a portable speaker in his other hand was Sirius fucking Black, cocky grin on his gorgeous face
Remus laughed and leaned against his windowsill, watching as Sirius rocked his hips and played air guitar like a goon, all while looking up at him with that grin
When the song finished, Sirius put the speaker down on the seat of the bike and stuck his hands in his pocket
Are you gonna come down then, lupin? Or are you just gonna leave my poor, but fabulous, arse down here alone?
Remus rolled his eyes and stepped away from the window, grabbing a baggy jumper from the back of his chair as he ran outside to meet his gentleman caller
He threw the front door open and ran into Sirius's outstretched arms, hugging him tighter than ever before
Sirius laughed and pressed his face against Remus's curls, breathing deeply
They stayed like that for a while, before Remus pulled away slightly
"Since when did you have a motorbike Padfoot????"
"Well I needed some way to come here didn't I? And mother dearest wasn't likely to offer a lift, so I got my licence and bought one. I even picked up a spare helmet on the way for you. Isn't she a beaut?"
Remus stepped away from Sirius and walked towards the bike which was leaning on its kickstand on the driveway
It looked like it had rolled straight off of a rock album cover or something, all black paint and chrome, and...
"Oh my god Sirius why does it say Marauder on the side of it?"
"Isn't it brilliant???? It's a Suzuki Marauder, it's perfect!!! I'm gonna call her Padfoot the Second"
Remus rolled his eyes and stepped back to Sirius, pulling him in for another hug
"I didn't think I'd see you until September"
"Yeah well, I missed you. My folks won't expect me home for another few weeks, so I thought I'd pay you a visit, if you don't mind me staying here," he said in a low voice, his soft grey eyes darting between Remus's uncertainly
God damn this boy is good looking Remus thought idly, as he closed the distance between them centimetre by centimetre
"I've got a double bed, im sure you can squeeze in with me" he said, smirking slightly
"And besides, my parents are out for the night, won't be back until tomorrow, and there's a lake I want to take you to"
Sirius's eyebrows twitches upwards at that, a smirk of his own settling on to his face
"Well in that case then," he murmured, before his hand slipped around the back of Remus's head, fingers coiling in the curls, and pulled Remus into a long, deep kiss
FIN
Part 1 Part 2
wolfstar except make it 7 minutes in heaven and Sirius forgets what happened and has to piece it together
TW: Mention of heavy drinking
It was always a mess in the Gryffindor common room the day after a quidditch win. Sirius, just gotten up, walks down the hall and stomps on plastic cups and food wrappers.
"Can't believe we're in fifth year and they never taught us a bloody useful cleaning spell." Sirius mumbles to himself, clutching his aching head.
All he knew how to do was bewitch brooms and wash dishes. (no use here as there was no broom or dirty plate in sight.)
Sirius feels half dead, like a zombie walking. Possibly, just maybe, he drank too much last night.
He's searching for the bathroom but it's dark in the hallway and he feels himself fall and trip over something large and warm. He crashes to the floor and a cup filled with an unknown liquid topples over on the floor next to him and splashes his hand.
"EW...PETER GET THE HELL UP!" Sirius yells, partly because of the surprise of falling and partly because he knows Peter's a pain in the ass to wake up.
He can't see who it is in the dark but every night there's a party in the common room, Peter somehow doesn't make it to bed.
Sirius lightly kicks him as he wipes the liquid off his hand and unto his shirt, "WAKE UP!"
There's no movement from the figure, just heavy snoring.
"Fine, I don't care, sleep on the floor like a dog." Sirius says and the figure groans.
He finds his way to the bathroom, takes the longest pee of his life, and walks back to the dorms (making sure to step over Peter on the way back.)
Only, when he gets there, he notices Remus isn't in his bed. As he notices this, he starts thinking for the first time about what happened last night.
It's a blur.
As he's thinking, he hears a noise come from James' bed as if someone has just woken up. Only he couldn't see through the curtains.
"James, do you remember what happened last night?" Sirius asks.
Only a woman's voice answered, "James is still asleep and it looks like I've slept with him."
"LILY?" Sirius says, realizing who it is.
"What?"
"OH MY GOD! HAHAHA"
"I KNOW!"
"Shut up." mumbles a new voice from a four poster.
"Sorry Frank, Sirius give me my shirt and if you speak a word to this to anybody I'll tell the whole school what happened last night."
His heart dropped, "What happened last night?"
Lily simply laughed and Sirius, blindly, gave her her clothes through the curtains on their beds.
------------------------------------------------------------
Sirius was sure he'd find Remus at breakfast, so hurried down toward the Great Hall. Only, when he got there, all the tables were filled to the brim except for the Gryffindor one. Presumably, the Gryffindor's had a long night. There were a few Gryffindors but none that Sirius cared too awfully much about. He asked a student below him, Gilderoy Lockhart, if he'd seen Remus, who was sitting at the Ravenclaw table.
"No, I have not. But it seems like you have seen more of him lately than any of us have!" Lockhart claps him on the back and looks around at the other Ravenclaws to laugh. Nobody does and Sirius winces. He did not like him very much.
"Okay" Sirius says, simply, and walks away swiftly, regretting his decision.
'What did he mean by that?' Sirius thought to himself, 'I've seen more of him than they have?"
His hunt for Remus getting a little more important, Sirius decided he must be at the Great Lake.
Approaching the lake, he passes the Whomping Willow and says from afar, "I'll see you next week, bastard. You don't get to whack me today."
A secret to everybody but them, the Marauders were cooking up something special to get past that tree. In fact, Sirius, James and Peter had had the Mandrake leaves in their mouths for 2 weeks already. They were a step closer to being Animagi.
He thought hard about the next few steps in the process as he walked toward the Great Lake, searching for Remus.
He must've been lost in thought because he nearly bumped straight into Marlene McKinnon. She was barefoot, her feet in the lake. It was freezing but Marlene always said a swim was the best way to sober up from hangovers.
"Hi, Mar." Sirius says, "have you seen Remus?"
"No, I have not. Wanna swim?"
He thinks for a moment. Maybe Marlene was right, he did feel pretty awful. The whole morning he's been trying not to throw up.
"Okay." He says, and starts taking off his shirt.
Marlene strips down as well and jumps in the lake with no hesitation. Sirius didn't want to seem like a baby, so he did, too.
Marlene and Sirius have always been good friends. She didn't overcomplicate things and he knew he could trust her. That's what he liked most about her.
As he swims in the water, he finds his nausea did seem to disappear. Probably because he could only feel his bones shiver to the core.
"Could you tell me what happened last night?" Sirius asks.
Except Marlene was too busy swimming with her head underwater.
"Wait, what did you say?" She asks, wiping the water from her eyes.
"What happened last night?" Sirius repeats with a smile, he always thought she was kinda adorable in a friendly way.
"Well," She swims over to him, "we all played 7 Minutes in Heaven."
His heart dropped for the second time that morning. What had he done?
"I got Remus??" Sirius asks, urgently.
"Yes." She said.
"Well, what happened?"
"I don't know. You guys sure seemed happy after, though- move around, it'll help you stay warm-Plus, y'know...the hickey."
"I gave Remus a hickey?" Sirius did not move. The coldness entered his soul.
Marlene laughed, "no, idiot, have you looked in the mirror?"
He must've not seen the hickey in his sleepiness when he went to the bathroom this morning.
"Jesus, Mar." Is all Sirius could really say, "I gotta go."
He climbed out of the lake, put on his clothes and shoes and thought about where else Remus could be.
The sun was getting brighter now and the night was fading into light. There was a fog around Hogwarts as Sirius walked back up the staircase indoors, dripping on the floor.
As he was about to go to the library, Sirius finally knew where Remus was.
Sirius nearly smacked himself for taking this long to realize.
He climbed up flights and flights of stairs. The Astronomy tower was the highest in all of Hogwarts.
He got there (out of breath) and burst open the door. Remus was laying on the floor looking out the skylight window. He had been there awhile, once looking at stars, now squinting his eyes through the sun to see the clouds.
Remus did not look up at him.
"Hey..." Sirius says, nodding his head downward, asking Remus wordlessly if he could sit down.
Remus gives a nod back and Sirius sits.
They sit in silence for a while. Sirius peers out the skylight window but to really see through it he'd need to be standing or laying down, as the angle from sitting was hurting his head even more.
The sun didn't make his burning, itching eyes feel any better either.
So instead, he looked at Remus. He had this nervous expression on his face and he was picking at his lips.
"Are you okay?" Sirius asks.
"Yeah, just thinking... Why are you wet?" Remus questions.
"Went for a swim."
Sirius did not have serious conversations a lot. He did not like them.
"Thinkin' 'bout what?" Sirius says, except its a jumbled mess.
"Just about last night, I guess."
"Yeah..."
"Do you even remember?"
There's another silence and that tells Remus everything he needs to know. Remus is a little embarrassed.
Of course Sirius wouldn't remember. Of course Sirius just simply did what he did in the closet because the bottle landed on him. It didn't mean anything. He would've said all that stuff to anybody.
Remus didn't know what to say. He knew, deep down, this would be the case but hoped with everything he had that maybe Sirius would feel the same sober.
As Sirius looked at Remus, he looked deadpan. Nothing at all. He had no idea what he was feeling.
More silence. Sirius wanted to rip his eyes out of his head. The silence bore into his eardrums and eats him alive.
"Do you want to know what happened?" Remus asks, sitting up.
"Yes, please."
"You told me you've secretly loved me for a year now." Remus laughed. Secretly he wanted to cry.
"Rem, I'm gonna puke." Sirius said, very suddenly, clutching his stomach.
Remus' heart fell. He knew he probably didn't feel the same but he didn't have to be rude.
Sirius rushed to the nearest trash bin and threw up whatever he was drinking hours before, early in the night.
He might've been a little drunk still, he couldn't really tell.
"Jesus, I'm so hungover." Sirius stumbles his way towards Remus.
Okay. So he didn't necessarily vomit at the idea of loving him.
"Oh, gross, sit over there, you smell."
Sirius sits arms length away from Remus across the floor.
"You gave me a hickey?" Sirius asks.
Remus' face goes bright red almost immediately, "You asked me to, so I did."
"Shit, did I?"
"We did more than that..." Remus does not want to talk about it whatsoever but feels like if anyone has the right to know, it's Sirius.
"Oh my God, what did we do?"
"You said a lot of stuff. I kissed you a lot of places. You kissed me. I was also quite drunk." Remus' face could fry an egg.
"What else did I say?" Sirius asks.
"You told me that you wanted to be with me. And said you love the way I do all these things. Went on and on about how cute I was and how much you adored me."
'If God's real, just drag me down to Hell right now. It'd be better than this.' Sirius thought.
Sirius had two options: 1) Completely own up to his true feelings and tell Remus everything he said was true or 2) Tell Remus none of it meant anything and he was just completely drunk.
He felt like lying to his best friend was off-limits.
"Yeah, well..." Sirius sighs, "I probably meant all of it."
"What do you mean?" Remus said, flabbergasted.
"Are you gonna make me say it all again?"
"Yes, actually."
"God- I don't even know what I said."
Remus glares at him.
"Okay, fine." Sirius starts, "I really have liked you for a year now. Maybe longer. I maybe not always knew what it was or what it meant when I got so happy to be around you. I was confused for a long time. I didn't feel the way about you the same way I did with James and Peter. I like hearing about your day, more so than other people. You've always had me wrapped around your finger but I never knew why until recently. I like you. a lot. I love you, even. I think about you all the time. When you're not around I wonder what you're doing and when you are around I wonder how I can get your attention. You're funny and broken and don't take shit from people; just like me. I love you, Remus..."
Remus almost cried but decides that'd be too much so he just grabs Sirius and holds him close.
While in a tight hug, Sirius says, "If you don't feel the same, it's okay..."
He said it in a way that made it sound like it wouldn't be okay. He said it in a way that craved Remus to love him back.
"I do, though." Remus sniffed, tears threatening to fall no matter what he told his brain.
The boys pulled apart from their hug and Remus grabs Sirius' face and kisses him. It's a simple, quick kiss but Sirius' heart flutters anyway.
"It's nice to kiss you and you'll remember it." Remus laughs and Sirius wipes his tears.
"It is nice..." Sirius agrees and pulls him in for another.

Could you write a piece where Sirius is desperately in love with remus and he has no way to get his pent up feelings out, so he startes keeping a diary or drawing him or something and remus finds it. Btw I love your account 💓
Remus couldn’t help but curse as he frantically rooted around the dormitory. He knew for a fact his notebook was somewhere.
He had begun making a detailed revision plan for NEWT’s in the late hours of the previous night. It was only December, the exams were still months away, but Remus was overly conscious of the fact that someone like him was going to have to get straight O’s if he wanted any chance at a career.
He couldn’t even find his wand and so, with a grunt of frustration, he ran down to the common room to look for it. James, Sirius, and Peter were lounging in front of the fireplace, Sirius and Peter immersed in a game of chess as James watched in amusement.
“Okay, I’m going to win this game,” Sirius declared, “I can feel it.” Sirius was notoriously bad at chess, lacking the patience to think out any of his moves. Peter, on the other hand, was notoriously good at it.
“Pawn to G four,” Sirius announced.
Peter hummed, “Pawn to E six.”
“Pawn to F four.”
“Sorry to interrupt,” Remus said, “but have any of you seen my wand? Or failing that, my notebook?”
Peter held up a hand, “Not now, Remus, I’m about to beat Sirius in two moves. Queen to H four. Check mate.”
James roared with laughter and Sirius just blinked at the board, “What the fuck? You can’t beat someone in two moves!” Apparently, you could. “Re-match,” he declared.
James pushed himself off of the sofa and pulled out the wand that was keeping Sirius’ hair up. “Here,” he said, handing it to Remus.
“Ah yes, it was in Sirius’ hair. Silly me for not checking sooner,” Remus said, dryly.
James just grinned and sat back down to watch the game again. Remus heard the groan of “Sirius, you did the exact same two moves! Check mate!” as he walked back up to the dormitory.
“Accio notebook,” he announced, holding his wand-free hand out expectantly.
The book that flew into his hand wasn’t his. He recognised it, though, he’d given it to Sirius last Christmas. He hadn’t actually seen it since. To the best of his knowledge, Sirius didn’t actually use it.
Sirius’ thoughts notebook was written on the front in impeccably neat handwriting. Curiosity got the better of Remus and he opened it to the first page.
26th December 1977: There are 365 pages in this notebook, one for every day of the year. This time next year, I tell him.
That certainly caught Remus’ attention. He flipped to the next page.
27th December 1977: He is coming over tomorrow. If he wears that jumper I bought him for Christmas, I shall die
28th December 1977: No thoughts today, for I am dead. (He wore the jumper!!!!)
Remus felt his heart skip a beat. It was about him. It had to be. He’d gone over to the Potter’s last year after Christmas. Sirius had bought him one of the warmest jumpers he owned. A dark green, his favourite colour, which Sirius seemed to know despite Remus never explicitly telling him. He flicked all the way through to the most recent pages.
6th December 1978: Twenty days until I’m supposed to tell Remus I’m in love with him. This is stupid. I’m stupid. Might not do it.
7th December 1978: He’s so beautiful it actually pisses me off. Fuck.
8th December 1978: For fucks sake. I read back some of the old pages (looking at you, 10th March 1978) and I sound like James pining over Lily. I am pathetic.
Remus’ thoughts were going a mile a minute. He quickly flicked back through the diary to the 10th of March 1978 to see what Sirius had written on that date.
10th March 1978: It’s Moony’s birthday today and I love him. I love him so much. The thought of loosing him terrifies me. He’s the best person I know, the only person I
Remus stopped reading the moment he heard the dormitory door open. He guiltily shoved the notebook behind his back and spun around to see Sirius in the doorway.
“I only just registered what you said earlier about looking for your notebook. I borrowed it to steal your revision timetable, I hope you don’t— hey,” he said breaking off, “what’s that?”
Remus opened his mouth and then closed it again. He inhaled deeply before bringing Sirius’ notebook into view. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to... I summoned for mine but yours came and I—”
“Did you read any of it?” Sirius asked, his face going pale. Remus just nodded. “Fuck.” With that, Sirius spun on his heals and turned to leave.
“No!” Remus said, quickly, “wait,” Sirius kept walking towards the door. “Locomotor Mortis.” Sirius swore violently as his legs seized up and he fell to the floor, just in front of the dormitory door.
“What the fuck, Remus?!”
“I’m sorry! I don’t know why I—I just needed to stop you leaving.”
“The leg locker jinx?! That was your solution?! I get if you’re upset but—”
“No!” Remus said, firmly. He reversed the jinx on Sirius’ legs and quickly rushed over to where he was was on the floor, kneeling down to be at the same level. “I— I read your diary.”
“It’s not a diary, it’s a notebook,” Sirius mumbled. Then, he looked directly at Remus, eyes wide and frightened. “Moony...” he said, tentatively, “I’m sorry.”
“What for?”
“For... I don’t know how much you read, but—”
“I read enough.”
Sirius gulped. “Right. Moony, you’re my bestfriend, I don’t want to ruin that and—”
“And you haven’t,” Remus said, quietly. He cupped Sirius’ face and wiped a tear away with his thumb. “Sirius... I—” he’d never said the words before. “I love you, too.”
Sirius just blinked at him. “You’re... Remus if this is a joke, I swear—”
“It isn’t! I, well, I don’t have a diary as proof but—”
Sirius elbowed him in the ribs and the two of them broke out into quiet laughter. “I was supposed to tell you after Christmas. I had this plan and I— you were absolutely not supposed to find that,” he said, pointing to the book.
“Maybe in doing so I sped the whole process up, hm? Although... I was half way through March tenth and you really were being quite sweet and so I’d quite like to—” But then Sirius kissed him, and suddenly what was written on a page in a notebook didn’t seem so important anymore.
