You Can Just Stay Nice (In The Back Of My Mind)
Sirius’ lips were softer than they looked and Remus never even would have thought that was a possibility, Sirius’ hand went to Remus’ hair almost immediately, pulling him slightly closer. Remus’ free hand went towards Sirius' jaw, tracing his perfect jawline, only as soon as he did, Sirius pulled away.
“Umm…” Sirius looked away, pulling his hands away to rub anxiously at his knees.
All Remus could think was, oh shit . The silence wrapped around them like cellophane, and Remus couldn’t breathe.
Sirius and him both stared at the Bowie poster across from them, Sirius' hand clutching the pendant on his neck, and Remus chewing on his finger nails as he tried to find the courage to say something.
Sirius moved, and Remus could tell that he was looking at him out of his periphery, before quickly looking at the ground staring at the grey carpet beneath them.
Sirius spoke first, after what felt like hours of silence, Remus wondering when the comments would come out. When Sirius would say he didn’t want to be friends with someone like Remus. But instead, “I can’t feel my legs.” Remus almost laughed at the absurdity of it all. Sirius got up, stood in Remus’ line of vision, forcing Remus to look at him.
“I need to get my blood moving. Dance with me?” Remus met his eyes again, finding them lighter than earlier, finding no malice. He grabbed his hand, Sirius pulling him up on his feet.
“What?” Remus attempted a smile.
“Dance with me Remus.”
