For those of you who don't know from June 6th- June 12th is #wolfweek! An initiative to raise awareness and funds for the protection of wolves in the US and around the world. On May 10th Idaho lawmakers passed a bill aimed at killing the majority of the state’s wolves, 90 percent, which gets rid of most limits on hunting the predators! Wolfs are key factor in keeping ecosystems healthy. They help keep deer and elk populations in check, benefiting many other plant and animal species. The carcasses of their prey also help to redistribute nutrients and provide food for other wildlife species. Artists are being encouraged to post, share and sell related artwork to help spread the word about this cause and raise funds toward the protection of these gorgeous creatures.
