Honestly, were it not for the heavy fragrance of wolves that wrapped around the boy so thoroughly, she most likely wouldn’t have shown herself...truthfully, that she was greeted by the sight of a boy, rather than one of those of a more lupine nature was almost surprising...almost; given the things she had already born witness to, this wasn’t overly surprising.
Still...the wounds were deep, and the bleeding active with no signs of slowing, and the presence of so much imbedded wood was more than a bit concerning; still...his response, the way he bristled...insisted he was fine - it was all too familiar to her, and a normally stony expression softened noticeably.
