The Blewit mushroom (which seems to be the all encompassing name for the Wood Blewit and Field Blewit). They are edible and purple!!! Though they can turn tan or light brown as they age. This is another mushroom that should be cooked before you eat it (though I dont know how many mushrooms out there you can just eat raw). From what I've read they aren't a beginner foraging mushroom, a little harder to first identify. My compression chamber and air pump arrived today although the pump is mahoosive! It’s about 5 times larger than my vacuum pump and it took quite a bit of rearranging in the caravan to find space for it. I’m also missing the right kind of connector for the hose too. So I’m slightly bummed out, although mainly because I feel I’m rapidly outgrowing the caravan and new outdoor space is really expensive (especially right now). I’ve seen some great static caravans which are amazing value and cheaper than a composite garden room studio but they’re just too long and too difficult to get in our garden. I particularly want to stay out of the house now I’ve all this new industrial equipment too. I’m also against a log cabin/wood shed build because they tend to only have 10 years warranty and not guaranteed against warping. With the extremes of weather up here and prevailing wind, a big investment like that has got to last at least 25 years. Any suggestions are welcome. . . . It’s November, so I’m now in elf-mode but not before I finished compiling my accounts for the last financial year. Paperwork is my arch-nemesis so it feels good to be done with that.
