for the record, kim jisoo is not an alcoholic.
supporting evidence: it’s friday night and she’s curled up on her couch with a bag of chips in one hand and the remote control in the other. some channel she’d arbitrarily flicked to is showing reruns of the first season of some american show (she missed the beginning so she’ll just call it that, some american show). only five minutes in and there’s already been a murder, two cheating accusations, and a face-off between the two male leads. this isn’t bad, she decides. maybe i’ll even—
her phone chimes.
( sms ) jisoo-yah, come out and play~
( sms ) it’s been ages ㅠㅠ
she ignores it.
( sms ) i’ll buy you that plush you’ve been eyeing for the past couple of months.
dammit.
correction: it’s friday night- 9:30 pm, to be exact, and she’s hopping around her apartment on one foot while simultaneously attempting to look for her eyeshadow brush. her phone chimes once again but she can’t be bothered to look at it. the old dress she’d bought several months before will have to do (when was the last time she’d gone out?) it takes a good thirty minutes of frantically tearing through her bathroom and ensuring that she has everything she needs before jisoo bids a forlorn goodbye to some american show and flies down the stairs. a taxi cab ride and several drinks later, she’s having the time of her life. by the tenth, she begins to regret her decision.
conclusion: kim jisoo is not an alcoholic, but she sure as hell can drink like one. she’s pleased that she doesn’t feel the slightest bit nauseous, but maneuvering through kibum’s apartment window is proving to be a bit difficult when she can’t seem to find her center of balance. for once she’s grateful he’d ended up on the first floor of the complex, finally squeezing inside and landing with an ungraceful thump. proud at her accomplishment, she barely realizes that there’s something off about her surroundings…until she does.
huh. “you’re not kibum,” she finally says.
and promptly begins to tear up.
