Byzantine Mosaic and Orthodox Christianity art ahhhh

Having a weird moment where I feel that my object ocs are becoming a little more religious in my setting for WOR.

My gender-as-astrology now has icons, dances, and prayer meditations. Varying from kingdom to kingdom, region to region. Along with some light variants of ancestor worship.

Saying this because I really like the history of icons in the Byzantine era. Beautiful art, especially in the churches of that time.

Byzantine empire will not be the only source of these ideas. But considering during its time it had spread from Europe to northern parts of MENA (this correct term? pls let me know), I found interesting facts about its influences within these regions.

This makes me think of how my kingdoms in The Mundane Realm influence each other through their cultures and beliefs. I think it is time to make a map of this world.

With TMR's timeline revisions from a month ago:

Janthizera, Jornod, and Verienlundo/Armillaria - influences would be nearly everywhere in the east of the Realm.

Calderia and Longermore holds the northwest with most influence from Longermore.

Erdestra, Jornod, and Domic/Domain of Granite Dome sits in the middle with varying degrees of influence from each other or from the nearest larger kingdoms mentioned previously.
