Many months ago, I was severely wounded so bad that I was willing to abandon everything I deserved, earned and believed in to ensure I was sane. I was so close to not going to Church. I wanted to quit my job, be off grid and continue surviving and not live but the truth was that, God just wouldn't let go. And then I realised, when I'm not even saying, He has a way of sending people to me and I'll be like, 'how did they know to do that?' and then I had to be intentional about rising. . . I learnt a new definition of strength - it's not what you've survived, but how more you're willing to fight and conquer. . . __________ One of those days when I managed to meditate on God's word, I realized I was so focused and emotional about the trial that I was willing to quit on God and quit on myself. . . like 'God, I don't know what to believe anymore'. . . and then He took me to Job. Job had his 'emotional moments' (Job 3:11-26)'. . . I could relate and sum my feelings into (v.25) but that wasn't the point. . . ________ The point is sometimes, the trial is just a diversion planned by the devil to distract us from the temptation. The story of Job was never about the trial, it was about the devil trying to get him to deny God! All those losses were to make Job curse God (Job 1:11) but he didn't. . . 'Reckless' faith. . . Dogged Faith . . . And then I realised, the devil will go just about any length to attack our faith. . .and at times too, the temptation is the trial! ________ I know those things will hurt but they are nothing compared to the 'restoration goody-bag' God has prepared'. . . like I always say, the devil won't keep trying to bring you down, if you're not important to God and the kingdom and like every thief, he'd always come for something - your faith! You're more than a conqueror! Don't get tired and don't quit on God, you, life!. . . _________ Happy New Week. . .
