Wordman H10
tw blood
Wordman and Lunar Red in a battle/on a date.
He didn’t ever think he could warm up to anyone. Not after three relationships ending in misfortune and misery. In hindsight, keeping a partner around was the hardest part. Things always seemed to go well. Steven would warm up to them, and for a while, it would be quiet before the storm. When the storm hit, it sent him reeling back into darkness. His heart was broken more times than he could count. His late wife was the last straw. Being the one to keep promises, he swore off dating altogether. And yet here he was sitting on a rooftop having dinner with a villainess. The Lunar red herself. She was as beautiful as she was deadly. For reasons he couldn't describe, he felt himself drawn to her. Like a moth to the flame. It would be a lie to say Wordman didn’t enjoy it in the least.
contribution to the siblings angst post - Chase and Becky (or now Mouse) in the mousebraingirl au. These once close siblings are now on opposite sides. Mouse no longer has memories of Chase's identity or her identity as heroes. Chase also deals with the angst and trauma and guilt his own father is going through plus his own emotional state. Amazo Lad trying to keep Wordman from being too violent towards villains. Him also trying to reach out to his sister.
Amazo lad landed on top of a building. Both mentally and physically tired from today's battles. For once things in fair city were quiet. Aside from normal civilian life going on. Amazo lad sighed. He sat down in relief. Wiping the sweat from his brows, he removed his visors.
He was glad whenever he could get some alone time. It gave him time to think. to reflect. Being a hero was taxing, especially when it was up to him basically to keep the order and peace.
A he had a run in with Chuck the evil sandwich making guy. He was trying to destroy another sandwich shop. Something about stealing his secret sandwich recipe. Amazo lad had it covered, even when it seemed like Chuck was getting the upper hand. The young hero had managed to de-escalate the situation
He had gotten the shop owner and Chuck to a mutual agreement when Wordman stepped in. The older hero was the act first ask questions later type. And even then he didn't seem to care about asking for any sides of the story. He wouldn't even listen to his own son telling him everything was fixed already.
It had hurt Chase when his father unintentionally ignored him.
He had been like that ever since...
'Becky...'
Thinking about his sister made his heart hurt. How long was it since he last heard that name? Nearly four years now. It seemed like forever ago when they were a happier family.
'its all my fault. I shouldn't be a hero.'
He didn't hate Mouse. She was Becky, even if she didn't remember much prior to becoming a villain. His sister under the control of a malevolent mouse. He knew his dad blamed himself for the accident.
Chase was the oldest child. He should have helped his father. He was a minute slow. Too slow to save his family. They didn't deserve this. He couldn't even stop it from happening. Just standing there in shock, scared and afraid.
'nothing but a coward charading as a hero'
The sound of his sobs broke his thoughts off.
Yes, he was a hero. A hero served and protected. But who helped Heroes when they needed help? Who was going to help him?
Down there he was Amazo lad. Up here he was just Chase Boxleitner.
A boy who just wanted to keep his family together.

Angst thought here. Min, Max, and Equan in the mousebraingirl au. The one where Steven is Wordman.
Ohh snap
Equan and wordman having a rivalry/hatred for eachother for real 💯
(a gift one shot for you for your siblings angst) Carrie was worried for her brother Clayde and his actions as the villain Longshot. No it wasn’t because she was worried about him getting taken to jail or being accidentally hurt by security systems. Except for those in the elite class, most everyone in Fair City had the worst security systems installed or none at all to protect their valuables. These were one of the reasons that Fair City was a prime target for villain activity. Carrie was concerned about her brother getting hurt purposefully whenever he crossed paths with…Wordman. Carrie sighed with a frown towards her concerns as she shifted through some paperwork in the vet office. To the average citizen, Wordman was a new hero, a celebrity almost, a mysterious figure who came to take over the city’s crime problems while their old hero, Wordgirl, was gone under strange circumstances that people would barely whisper about nowadays. To the other side, Wordman was a cold, calculating, scary threat to just about all the villains of Fair City except for one little girl. To the other villains, Wordman was not sympathetic towards them. He never showed any kindness and very little restraint when they fought in battle. He never ended their lives though, the hero would never go that far. But every time they met, Wordman made sure to let them know that they were nothing but parasites and scum in his eyes and that he could do much worse to them if he could. That was where the scary part about him came from. He never bantered, he never gave them a break. Wordman was always cold and chilling to just about every villain, including her own brother who always ranted about the guy every time she bandaged his wounds. “I don’t get why this guy is even a hero sis.” Clayde frustratingly exclaimed as Carrie was bandaging his left arm. It wasn’t broken, but very bruised from how Wordman had recently manhandled him as Longshot earlier after taking the guy to jail for robbing a bank. “The guy is one step from going John Wick on every villain in this city if the law didn’t keep him from doing so. He is scary, cold, harsh, and just about physical with everyone of us villains. He is easier on the kids of course but still scares them. I just don’t get it. He seems to hate all of us but when he faces off against Mouse, the guy does a complete 180 and acts like he is almost afraid to even lay a finger on her. Now don’t get me wrong Carrie, I’m glad that Wordman won’t try to hurt or scare yours and Steven’s daughter.” Clayde chuckles a bit despite the pain he is feeling. “I’ll bet the guy is afraid to face Steven’s wrath if he ever harmed Mouse. Your husband is more terrifying than him when it comes to the kid.” Clayde’s face then morphed back into an angry frown. “I just don’t get what Wordman’s deal is with the rest of us. Why does he hate every other villain so much?” Carrie’s mind jumped out of the flashback. Only two people in this entire city knew what Wordman’s deal was. It would be hard to explain to Clayde that all that malice and hatred Wordman displays towards the other villains, isn’t really malice at all. Only she and one other person knew the truth. That Wordman was just a man wracked and consumed with grief, regret, and self anger. That he was a broken shell of his former self. All of his negative emotions channeled outward made the appearance of malice, but channeled inward were self hate. Only she and Dr. James Jenkins knew the truth that Wordman was truly a stubborn, cold, and broken man who hated himself more than the villains he faced. And that Mouse was at the center of Wordman’s very existence. Carrie stretched her arms and looked at the ceiling with a solemn gaze. It was because of the truth she knew that she had to keep her brother’s identity as a villain away from the man she loved, a man who would never purposefully harm his own daughter. It is also why Carrie couldn’t at the moment tell the truth to her own brother as well. Carrie - @melodythebunny Clayde/Longshot - @spaaceeboyy

Oh Melody angst idea. Wordman Steven from the Mousebraingirl au meeting Cat Carrie who is a villain. Also remember the guy has issues with villains due to his problems with Squeaky forcing his child to steal cheese. What do you think about it.
Unstoppable force meets immovable object. Wordman is tired, he had little to no sleep the last few days between stopping villains to taking care of his daughter to managing work. His patience is at 1 percent rn. "Look. I had less then 3 hours of sleep today. Put the stuff back"
and of course (cat) Carrie does NOT like being told what to do. so just off of that alone she would be stubborn and retaliate. When she gets angry she can be destructive.
Fight ends with Both of sides getting hurt. someone would have to play the mediator. Honestly this could end with someone dying bc 1 Steven has some alien powers like word girl and 2 care is a bio weapon sooooooo-
yea.
