@wordprophet liked this post for a starter! (for kevin)
Kevin Tran had always been one of his favourites. The next prophet after him (sort of), smart kid, good heart. It was a real shame, what had to happen to him, and Chuck had always felt kinda bad for him. All the kid wanted was to go to a good school, but he’d been chosen. And he’d been chosen for a reason, because he reminded Chuck of Sam, and he liked the literary symmetry. So, he’d given the kid a storyline, a purpose, a plot, and Kevin had wound up dead. But that was the thing -- he was supposed to be in Heaven. Chuck had sent his soul there. So what the heck was he doing here?
This wasn’t the first time he’d sensed someone he knew had moved on in this other world. But he had to check this out, so he teleported outside the library (where Kevin spent way too much of his free time) and walked inside. He walked over to the table where Kevin was sitting, and sat down opposite him. He’d been keeping an eye on Kevin for a few days -- he’d kept tabs on everyone from his favourite world -- and he knew the kid didn’t have memories of his real life. So, he said, nonchalantly, “D’you mind if I sit here?” and he pulled out a notepad and pen. “I’ve got some writing to do. I promise, I won’t bother you.” And he flashed Kevin a smile.
