After months that were so so at best, look who’s writing, bitches!
october
october has the best nights the air flying past is cool and clear and it is easy to disappear in the darkness between lamplights orion takes you home he likes to watch from that dark velvet above as you greedily hungrily take in gulps of the night these hours between ten and four are reserved only for you and though your veins sing with the cheer of your friends it is a single ride home the bumps in the road remind you to keep track of your head lest it fall off and leave you stumbling because oh god what trouble that would bring the minute you arrive you stop at your front door key poised ready one last glance to the sky thanking orion for his watchful glimmer one furtive look to the shadows an inky embrace during these hours one more deep inhale getting more of october into your lungs open the door and drift off to the sound of the lone cricket a slow blues song wrapping the night.
"Artisan" food just means takes more time to make and looks worse. I work at a pizza place that's from Austin which is like Portland in Texas basically and it's just like. Wow.
My Wordy Blog
I started a new blog and I am lookin for some followers.

It is a super personal blog, so I post long text posts and some pictures on it :D
You were the fibers lost in the midst of a fight between fingers and fraying ends
You are my pillow thoughts
I rework my apology over and over and over though it’s been months
My heart raced as I stood at the rock’s edge, peering into freezing water If I’d have just jumped
I might have survived to learn another lesson I won’t remember to keep
Childhood Snippet #2
Ryou, like always, laughed and shielded himself with his arms. “You’re a stupid.” He returned cheerfully, lifting above Bakura to avoid the flailing wings. “Mama’s taking centuries! And she messed up my feathers. See!” He twisted round, thrusting said feathers towards Bakura’s face with eager indignation.
He couldn’t actually see anything wrong, Ryou’s flapping making the task impossible even if there was something to see, but happy to play along Bakura frowned and gave a couple of firm nods. “Yeah, mama always messes it up.” He pulled at Ryou’s feathers, making him squeak and whirl back around. “I could do it lots better all by myself. I don’t need mama or daddy helping me. You’re just a baby.”
Ryou pouted, wiggling two fingers above his head at his brother in retribution for the name calling, brightening again almost immediately. “If you’re good then I’m good too ‘cause we’re the same person. So... so I can preen by myself too!” With that he tried to show that he could, twisting to grab his wings and dropping each time he did. Bakura, giggling at his brother’s failed attempts to prove himself equally capable, followed him down.
“You can’t preen when you’re flying, stupid. Told you you’re a baby. Baby Ryou!” When Ryou stopped trying, Bakura took it upon himself to push him down, getting him again each time he righted himself.
“Baaakuuurrra!! Stop it!” Pouting again, Ryou clung to Bakura’s legs, pulling him down too. Bakura flailed a little, screeching and laughing. When he and Ryou were finally on a level again he waved his hands at his brother. “I’m gonna preen you from now on. Turn round.”
“Okay.” Ryou agreed. They were both of the opinion that Ryou’s wings would be improved if they looked like Bakura’s rather than having mama’s colour. With a few complicated flaps and some kicking, Ryou shifted around in mid air and looked back over his shoulders to watch.
With a determined set of his brow, Bakura twisted and wobbled as he rubbed his hands against the oil gland on his wing joint and then ran his hands, and his preen oil, all over his brother’s wings. Ryou was beaming as Bakura pulled roughly at his feathers, not doing a very good job of straightening them but doing a pretty good job of smothering them with his particular shade of oil.
It didn’t take long for Ryou to start complaining Bakura was doing it wrong, almost pulling his feathers right out each time he twisted to get more oil. In retaliation Bakura tackled Ryou, ruffling up Ryou’s hair and announcing loudly that babies shouldn’t talk back. Ryou, giggling and shrieking as he tried to defend his hair, insisted that Bakura was the one that was a baby since he was second brother.
They only stopped squabbling when Ryou started to fly, pulling away from Bakura and panting hard as he tried to stop the giggles escaping. He twisted up his face and crossed his eyes when he noticed that some of his hair, fallen in from of his face, was streaked with Bakura’s colour. “Look! My hairs look like your wings too! Let’s do it more!”
“Yeah.” Now Bakura was the one to eagerly agree. He collected more oil carefully and then tried to streak it in Ryou’s hair again, hindered by Ryou who seemed to think headbutting Bakura’s hands was helping, and the sudden screech from above them. “BAKURA!” They both looked up in surprise to see Mama plummeting towards them, her face colouring in anger.

“Aww look at that. Your boys are the sweetest things.” Nebri followed Shizuka’s gaze down to where her sons were playing. After wiggling out of her arms Ryou had gone to Bakura, who was now preening his brother with utmost seriousness.
“... It’s just so creepy though.” Terri shivered. “I am sorry Nebri, it’s not your fault but it’s just not right! I mean, they look exactly the same. It’s... it’s not right.”
Nebri didn’t answer. How was she supposed to confess that she found it creepy too? Mothers were supposed to love their children, not be find them creepy. What kind of mother... She bit her lip, forcing herself to keep watching and reassuring herself that she loved them.
“You do a great job with them though.” Terri added hastily, the worry that she had been too harsh written all over her face. “Shizuka’s right they really are cute. And absolute darlings whenever you are at school. See they ev- oh.”
There was a second of silence before Shizuka, unable to hold it in any more, let out a loud snort and both her and Terri broke into hysterical laughter. Nebri could feel the mortification flooding through her face. “Sun’s Fire!” She cursed and dropped hurriedly. “BAKURA!”
They both turned and looked up at her, clearly surprised. She even used a burst of super speed. Why, oh why did they have to do things like this when her friends were watching. This was so embarrassing! Ryou’s mouth was already opening to question her when she grabbed him, pulling him away from Bakura and fussed with his hair. Oh this was going to take ages to get out, and every one would see.
“Mama?” Ryou blinked at her then grinned. “Are we going now?”
Nebri pressed just clung to him tighter and turner her attention on her other son. “Bakura, what did you think you were doing?! Never do that again!”
“We was just preening mama.” Ryou piped up uncertainly, clearly starting to understand that they were in trouble. Bakura nodded along slowly with Ryou’d words. “Yeah we was just preening mama.” She hated it when they did that. Echoing each other, emphasising that bizarre similarity between them.
“No. Ryou, be quiet. No you were not. You listen to me Bakura, you are not to preen anyone’s hair. Ever! Do you understand me?”
Bakura’s face started to darken. He wasn’t like Ryou. Ryou was relatively normal, when he was angry or upset he got loud. He would scream and cry and make a fuss. Bakura just stared silently, face creasing in the closest thing to a glare the six year old was capable of.
“Why?”
No, no stop it Nebri. She internally berated herself. She was not frightened of her son. She wasn’t. She was just going to tell him that is was wrong, he was too young to do things like that and he would understand when he was older. Then she would take him and Ryou to wash and everything would be fine. It would all be fine.
“Just do what I say Bakura. It’s bad, you shouldn’t do it. Okay?”
“Daddy preens your hair mama. I see’d it.”
Now she could feel the colour rising in her face again, she was very young herself and the fact that she already had a boyfriend who would mark her like that was still something she was a little embarrassed, and excited, about.
“Its... it’s something that mummys and daddys do. Something special they do when they love each other and they want everyone to know it. Not-”
“Bakura loves me mama!” Ryou eagerly supplied, waving his little wings emphatically.
“I am sure he does.” No she wasn’t, she wasn’t sure about anything to do with Bakura. “But that is different. Bakura isn’t allowed to do it to you, it’s wrong. Bakura, promise me you won’t do it again.”
“No!” Bakura snapped, his face colouring too.
“Bakura!” Nebri snapped back, knowing instantly she shouldn’t have.
“No, you can’t make me!” He was fluttering his wings angrily now, and all Nebri could think about was that if he wasn’t an infant things would be getting very dangerous about now.
“Bakura, stop misbehaving right now!” No no she couldn’t take this “And you apologise to your brother!”
“He’s my brother, I can do what I want to him!” –SMACK-
Bakura and Nebri both seemed to freeze, her hand outstretched and his head turned to the side. The poisonous look on his face set, her arm trembling violently. Ryou whimpered softly burying his face in his mother’s tunic.
Nebri was panicking. She couldn’t do this, she couldn’t do this she never wanted kids in the first place. Moon, she was only 73, she should still be clinging to her parents when she had nightmares and letting daddy scare off all the boys, not looking after infants herself. And Bakura kept glaring, slowly looking at her and she was close to tears. She was scared of him, there was something wrong with him. She didn’t know what but there was something and she felt so guilty it was eating away at her and she was a horrible mother and she was trying really trying and why did Zak have to be off training instead of here to help her?
Ryou was being pulled softly out of her arms, and someone was tucking her hair behind her ears. The burning in her eyes and the gasping of her breaths suddenly seemed over powering.
“Nebri? Nebri are you okay?”
That was Shizuka’s voice, Shizuka’s hand on her shoulder and Terri was cradling the whimpering Ryou. Nebri started whispering “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Shizuka shushed her.
“It’s okay, you go with Terri and clean up Ryou. I’ll take Bakura over to Sable. You know her, the half-cloud seamstress, she won’t mind watching him for a few hours. Go on.”
So Nebri went silently, taking back Ryou when he started getting distressed at his mama’s state, and trying not to think about what had just happened. ... In Marama’s name, what kind of mother was she?
And Bakura watched his mama go, let Shizuka lead him away from her, and clung silently to Sable for the rest of the cycle.
