I am giving you the gun and helping you point it at my heart. Your words pull the trigger and yet you ask why I look at you like you just destroyed me. You don’t see the smoke coming from your mouth and your tongue doesn’t taste like the metal jacket of the bullet. Yet, I avert my eyes and cover the bleeding hole in my chest because even if you bathe in my pain and blood you will never know that you hold the gun.
