My beloved @ohsugarfoot is going to be making lil questionnaires every week so we can get to know each other and our projects better! This is aimed toward our Discord server (link at end of post) but I suppose anyone who wants can answer them!
Q&A Event: About Me (the original post is here!)
1) What’s your name or nickname? Has it changed over the years?
I was once a Scone, now I am a Pause.
Turning 33 in less than a week!
3) When did you start writing?
I was little. Kindergarten? Whatever age that is. And then I just... never stopped.
4) What did you start writing? Was it via RP, fanfic, or OC?
First it was original! I wrote about my toys coming to life and having adventures (this was long before Toy Story was released, and was actually mostly inspired by Winnie the Pooh). When I was in middle school I wrote a handful of fanfic about me going on adventures with my favorite characters, but got bored quickly and went back to original fiction. (I still read fanfic though!!) Also... all my Three Wishes and Sheraton Academy stories are kind of fanfic, because they incorporate characters that aren’t mine from RPs I am/was involved in. :D
5) What’s your favorite color, favorite sound, favorite ice cream, and current favorite song?
Ice cream: Green tea or red bean
Song: WELL the song that currently won’t get out of my head is “Don’t Put It In Your Mouth,” which was an old PSA about not eating stuff if you didn’t know what it was (it was mostly aimed toward drugs tho). But my FOR REAL favorite right now is My Girlfriend’s On Drugs by Big D & the Kids Table (cw: it’s a loud video, and there are a lot of quick camera cuts and some flashing lights. also drugs)
6) Out of all of your current WiPs, which is the easiest to write, and which is a struggle? Why?
ITBITS is the easiest in most ways, because I have it mostly planned out. You’d think God is Dead would not be the hardest, because it’s based on Hamlet, so I LITERALLY have an outline already, but it’s so out of my comfort zone when it comes to character types and plotlines and I don’t really know what I’m doing, but it is very, very slowly coming together. That’s why I’m making so many moodboards right now; I’m working out details and stuff.
7) How do you get into your writing mood?
Sometimes I just wanna. Sometimes I just can’t. I try to keep myself in the middle ground where I can get a little bit out without much nudging, but sometimes the words only come out one sentence at a time, like pulling teeth. I DO love writing!!! Sometimes it’s just hard. I try to sit down and write at least three sentences every morning after I’ve had my coffee, and while sometimes that’s all I get that day, sometimes I just keep going. But having a small goal I can always meet helps a lot.
