a few poetry recs.

so okay so wordswilling was asking about favorite poets and poems, and since i’m apparently incapable of brief responses, i decided to put together a very mini rec post.

a thing is that i don’t know that i have a single favorite poet, but there are many who make me flail with glee/sorrow/uncertainty/awe/horror/you get the idea. so here’s a small collecting of some poets/poems that make me flail.

1, 2, and 5? :-D

1. I’m far too young to be thinking about this, but my favorite girl’s name for the last year or so has been Arya, so let’s go with that. 

And, although the question didn’t ask this, I’d name my son Ethan. 

2. Not so much, actually. Up until very recently I would miss this one person all of the time. Those feelings have diminished with time, and now I find myself missing no one.

5. For the first week in months, nothing foreseeably exciting is happening. Last week I had to go to a few award-related events, and then there was the 1 Billion Rising event, and this poetry night, but this upcoming week is empty. I’m thankful for the break. If anything comes up, I’ll let you know.

hi! it's been a minute, huh? :p  thanks for thinking of me as a fav! :)  I hope you're doing well!

1.) I've been cooking dinner more than like twice a week lately, and I'm really proud of myself for that, because [insert excuses for why I never cook here], so go me, you get it girl! way to cook that damn dinner! AND do the dishes right after!?! like damn girl, ain't nobody good as that!

2.) I've finally been brave enough to eat lunch by myself at a diner near my office... which means I'm not sitting in my car alone, I'm sitting in a place surrounded by people (alone), but trying really hard not to worry about if people are staring at me or not... this is a big BIG step for me

3.) ^that means I've made more time for reading/writing, because guess what I do while I'm sitting there? :p

4.) I've been finally getting comfortable with not thinking I have to be the mom AND the dad, I used to stress really bad thinking that I needed to like make up the difference for the absent father figure and do the sports and such... but I know now that whatever I do is more than good enough because my baby knows I love him and I've just been doing my best to help him be an amazing person who loves who he is and everyone around him :) (this works too well, sometimes, I think... he had a breakdown in Zaxby's when he realized the chicken he was eating came from chickens? he was so sad). but anyway, I love that about me 

5.) I kinda love how most people think I look younger than I am? sometimes?  it gets a little aaaamg what?! when the guys who generally ask me out are much younger than me (and I have to be like, but you CAN buy me a drink, right? because, that literally has to be the cut-off), but, yeah, good job skin, at holding up pretty well? (and s2g as I'm typing this I Wish by Skee-Lo just came on the shuffle and I started jamming, sooooo...... >.<)
