I remember seeing a different post pointing out that Native Americans are basically already living a post-apocalyptic world.
The apocalypse happened here in 1620.
Thereās a really well done graphic novel anthology by Indigenous Canadian writers and artists that is based off this concept.
Looks like you can buy it direct here
Who is the real subject of most love poems? Not the beloved. It is the hole. When I desire you, a part of me is gone: my want of you partakes of me. So reasons the lover at the edge of eros. The presence of want awakens in him nostalgia for wholeness. His thoughts turn toward questions of personal identity: he must recover and reincorporate what is gone if he is to be a complete person. [ā¦] Most people find something disturbingly lucid and true in Aristophanesā image of lovers as people cut in half. All desire is for a part of oneself gone missing, or so it feels to the person in love.

Yes this could have to do with the fact that Freya the Norse Goddess of love, beauty and fertility drove a chariot pulled by cats.
So, if I ever get married, I fully expect a catmobile.Ā
One of the other reasons why they gave cats to each other was for their valuable skills as mousers. Cats were able to control rodent populations around their properties.
Also, Norse myths are thought to have the earliest literary descriptions of the Norwegian Forest Cat. They were described as large, strong cats that drew Freyaās chariot and were so heavy that not even Thor, God of Thunder, could lift them from the floor. (Source)
They kinda live up to the legend, too. Your average Norwegian Forest Cat is twenty pounds of solid muscle, with claws large and strong enough to climb solid rock. Theyāve been known to attack bears when defending their territory. And yet theyāre one of the cuddliest breeds out there, particularly noted for being patient with small children.
I have a Norwegian mix, and can attest that she is the cuddliest cat but also insane enough to try and fight a bear.

But like....imagine being loved by a celestial being that's millions of years old. Imagine how many humans Castiel has observed over his life time.
This powerful ancient being fell in love with a human and it changed him. After all that time as an angel, all those years of being an obedient solider following orders...it was his love for Dean that changed him. The incredibly short amount of time he got loving Dean on earth was his true happiness. He gave up everything for it. He loved him that much. And he expected nothing in return.
That is the most romantic, tragic shit I have ever heard in my life.
