today was the first day with students and. it was such a shitshow. not the students, but the school. we are so ill-prepared and, yes, it's predominantly a district issue, but it is also an administration issue and us teachers were left completely floundering today. I was talking to two other teachers who said that in their respective 20 and 15 years of teaching, this is the most chaotic start to a school year they've ever had. I had to raise eleven kinds of hell today because of the injustices not only done to me as a teacher, but to my students and their success and learning. and I'm so tired and ill-prepared for tomorrow too, so I have to stay up a tad bit longer to get my lessons for tomorrow finalized but I will be coming home tomorrow and I will be taking a nap. for a long time.

I feel really bad because despite all my worries about this current client I am working with being a big issue, it’s actually been going well, and I think him and his brother like me. Except they’re both chain smokers and the last two days I’ve left there practically choking. I thought my cough coming back was my virus kicking back in, but it sorta just hit me that I am really sensitive to cigarette smoke and it actually flairs up my Costochondritis pretty bad. My mom is actually really upset I am even going back this weekend because of how damaging second-hand smoke is.

Witnessed a wholesome moment at dunkin' donuts today when I overheard a guy say he couldn't wait to get home to watch 31 nights of Halloween and told the rest of us in line that they had a good line up of halloween movies this year.

It’s really annoying no matter how many times I tell somebody that we don’t order anything into the storage anymore and if you’re missing something, the department has to order it THEMSELF and I’ll just immediately deliver what they’ve ordered to each department

There’s this one person who keeps coming into the storage to ask for things like cups and stuff that we don’t have in the storage anymore and I don’t think they’ve grasped the fact that they’re not gonna appear into our storage anymore either

There... took a lot of figuring and probably over-complicating (I should’ve gone with my original thought to begin with) but I managed to almost get this piece of work done. I still have some tweaking that I hope won’t be a problem and some testing to do but otherwise yay me. Ill feeling zombie half the day but managed to push through.

I just hope clients do like this route. And it’s gonna be a pain in the ass reuploading stuff - easy but time consuming.

I just lost all my hours, I'm freaking out. The worst part is my company knew and they didn't fucking call me. I had to find out from the OTHER company that's taking over the position. I'm PISSED.
