I’m not going to give up and quit. I’m going to ask myself what can I do better and work towards that. I’m responsible for making good things happen to me.

I'm putting my energy towards doing good in the world. All of the nonsense won't distract me from accomplishing that.

goddamn. i guess thats that then.
Is anyone else losing sympathy for sympathetic characters/villains? Or is that just me?
Like yeah some shitty things have happened to you and in your past but what are you doing now to make it better? Or are you still using your past as an excuse to not even try to get better? Are you using it as an excuse for your bad choices/actions towards others who haven't done anything? And I get it there are things that are hard to move on from, but at least try. I have more sympathy for characters who try to make their life better or try to change things.
The fandom plays a huge part in lose of sympathy too because they'll make one character be all uwu baby while demonizing another character for the same thing or who has the same issues. Like Becky the two ain't that different trauma wise. Also quot comparing trauma, no one gets a gold medal for having the biggest issues.
I've seen fandoms who want things handed to these characters with no work put in, which is lazy writing in general. I want characters to start working towards their happy endings, and that includes taking agency back and working to making their lives better. Life is bipolar, you're gonna have good times and bad, and it's up to YOU to work towards making it better. I want to see those types of characters again.
Hope this quote from the great artist, Picasso gives you motivation today. Hope you enjoy my abstract art in the background as well.
