Carlisle x Esme x Charlie au

In this au instead of Esme's shitty canonical husband during her human life Esme marries a man named Charlie Swan, a man she was happy and in love with. I'll have to play with the timeline a little bit.

Charlie and Esme met when she moved out west to become a teacher despite her parents wishes.

Their romance was slow. Esme wanted to fulfill her dream and Charlie had gotten out of a bad relationship before this. They started as friends slowly getting closer until they decided to marry.

They were happy together and when Charlie was drafted for World War 1 he encouraged her to find a way to keep busy. Esme went back to teaching, the schools allowing married female teachers during that time periord due to shortages.

They kept in touch through letters and one visit Charlie had gotten lucky to make home before being deployed again.

In 1919 when the soliders returned home the solider that met Esme was not her's. Pregnant Esme learned her husband was killed in action.

Esme moved to Wisconsin after that to her cousin's so she could get help with the baby. As a war widow she didn't have trouble finding a teaching job. She was starting to build her life again when another tradegy struck.

Esme gave birth to a baby girl she named Isabella. The baby contracted lung fever and two days later Esme was told the baby died.

Esme didn't want to live any more. Dr Carlisle Cullen, who found Esme in the morgue couldn't let her die.

Slowly Esme opened her heart again. She married again when she married Carlisle and took the others in as her own children.

Decades pass and Esme while still loving her first family loves this new one too.

Esme's heart cracks when they move to Forks and sees the chief of police home schooled daughter is what she always believed her daughter would look like growing up.

Esme's heart shatters when Carlisle introduces her to the Chief of police and she sees her dead solider.

Now let's rewind.

During world War 1 after his short visit with his wife Charlie Swan returned to the front fighting in Europe. It was here that a vampire took advantage of the chaos and drank from several soilders. The chaos is also how Charlie escaped with only a bite. For three days Charlie laid on the battlefield with fallen soldiers in agonizing pain while the venom worked his way through his system. He woke p thirsty, so thirsty.

The battlefield was barren but he needed to drink. Confused and lost, Charlie caught sight of a smell and ran towards it. His teeth sank into flesh, and finally he could drink.

As Charlie became more clear headed he stared terrified over the carcass. He stood over a deer, two holes in it's body with small amounts of drying blood. Immediately Charlie wanted to return home.

Charlie made his way across Europe to get back home. At one point he found himself in Ireland where he met Siobhan and her coven. Siobhan gave Charlie a better understanding of what he was and officially informed him of the vegetarian lifestyle that silly Carlisle Cullen lived by.

Charlie took that information to heart. He already been feeding off animals as that's mainly what he's been coming across during his way back home. Old instincts from his hunting and fishing trips with his dad.

During his way back home Charlie also leanred he had an ability. Those who's powers worked on the mind barley worked on him. A mind reader could only get a glimpse of his emotions, if someone made you feel pain he feel a pinch.

Once back in America Charlie spent two months tracking down his wife. His heart broke when he learned of her suicide and it broke again when he found out the reason was because of a mix up at the hospital.

There were more than one newborns with lung fever at the hospital. Paperwork got mixed up. When the doctors told Esme her baby had died they were talking about a baby boy born the same day as their Isabella. Isabella survived her lung fever.

Charlie looked for his daughter, found her in an orphanage and stole her away. Charlie raised as best as he could for years. He wanted his daughter to live more than either of her parents could. It was during the 30s, on Bella's 18th birthday did they both agree to change her. The great depression at the time, Bella couldn't take being hungry anymore, she rather be thirsty.

Father and daughter roamed around settling in place to place from time to time. Charlie often took night jobs as an officer as that was what he was doing before being drafted, and Bella was "homeschooled" or in college taking mostly night classes depending if she wanted to learn something new or not.

This go around they settle in Forks, Charlie's home town though it wasn't called Forks until the 40s.

Charlie meets Carlisle.

"So you're the vampire I hear so much about," Charlie joked.

Charlie feels like something punched him in the gut when he meets Carlisle's wife and sees the mother of his child staring back at him. His mind instantly racing on how he's going to break this to Bella.

Carlisle is going through a bisexual panic in the background.

It took me a silly audio to realize that Tony is technically the youngest of Marvel's big three. Even when he's physically older, chronologically he is still the baby of the three. Thor's got hundreds of years on him, Steve is from the 40s, Tony is just living his current life.

I kinda want to see that idea played around with in fics. Hold I'm gonna see if I can hunt some stuff down.

You know what would be fucked up if they did this in Avatar?

The son for a son thing getting uno reversed and now Quaritch has Neteyam.

For whatever reason the RDA get it into their heads to do what they did with Quaritch with the navi who died in battle. They somehow have DNA of navi or their bodies, I wouldn't put it past them. They upload just enough so they have their skills and some of their personality but that's it.

They're essentially brainwashed clones of those who pased. They give off uncanny valley vibes. Maybe they have some avatar traits to them or maybe they're perfect clones. Feel like the plan would to have the unknown dead go do under cover work.

None of the clones connect to the world around them though. Something that would be highlighted throughout the story.

Quaritch takes on the father figure role for the newly cloned Neteyam. After all a son for a son right? Jake got Quaritch's living son, Quaritch has Jake's dead one.

The Sully family got more family drama going on because now they got a clone of Neteyam running around doing RDA work. It is an affront against Eywa and the ancestors. But this clone sounds and looks so much like Neteyam.

Fights happen, those had not yet passed are confronted by clones of their dead loved ones. We get scenes of each Sully with Neteyam. Can play up the son for a son theme with Spider and Neteyam as well. Maybe throw in a scene with Ronal and all three of her kids. Could also somehow do a scene with Neytiri and her father too, throw in Mo'at for that scene as well.

You see the clones slowly reaching out for the loved ones they just have glimpses of in their missing memories. Confused, and hesitant now.

It all builds up to a scene where we see the clones connect to Eywa for the first time. Eywa high jacks them with the help of those who passed on. They see all their memories now.

Idk how I would want it to end either the clones pass on, they become their own persons, or handy wavy magic happens and they merge with themselves from the spirit world.

Can someone with more Avatar knowledge than I help me understand how the role of leadership transfers between each generation? Like who inherits the position? Especially since the default seems to be that each generation's tsahik and olo'eyktan are a mated pair.

Now the answer is probably very dependent on each clan but I'm just wondering in general.

Based on what I have seen it feels like the tsahik position would be the inherited title with preference towards daughters learning from their mothers or grandmothers. I think I remember somewhere it was said that the olo'eyktan was generally the strongest warrior in the village. Which would make sense then that the transfer of power would be through the tsahik line rather than the olo'eyktan. Also taking into the fact that the tsahik is the spiritual leader and responsible for each clan's way of life and spiritual practices it would also make more sense to have a definitive yes this person was born and raised here.

It would also wouldn't surprise me if daughters were preferred for this position as well given Eywa is the great mother, and the tsahik would also eventually be a mother connecting even further to Eywa.

So with that thought in mind when olo'eyktan and tsahik have both sons and daughters how is priority given if the default is a mated pair leaders? Is the daughter first in line as tsahik given that imagine tsakarem training starts very young, and maybe given how that goes the son might inheirt one of his parents positions? If there is no daughters would a son be trained as tsahik or olo'eyktan and current tsahik needs to find a tsakarem ASAP.

Obviously not every clan would follow this layout, and there are exceptions. Varang rules alone as both tsahik and olo'eyktan from we have been shown, but it seems her tsahik role is given more weight. Mo'at is on her fourth olo'eyktan and fourth tsakarem. (shout out to Mo'at for being the steady leadership for the Omatikaya) I'm sure there's other examples too I'm not aware of.

This also leads me into my thoughts of the Metkayina future leadership. I deadass do not believe Ao'nung is going to take over his father's position. One he is never stated to be olo'eyktan in waiting while Tsireya has confirmation of being the clan's tsakarem. If the Metkayina follow the leadership is a mated pair then ideally Tsireya's mate should be the next olo'eyktan. Two James Cameron proved he loves a pattern, and Lo'ak is very much his daddy's son. I can see the best warrior in the clan coming back into play when it happens too.

But I don't know these are all thoughts of me trying to understand how it works.

I'm an awful reader in a sense that when you tell me a character is made from out of or from something and they DON'T take on attributes of that in their physical appearance at the very least. I'm sorry but your characters get redesigned in my head.

Because what do you mean they were created from stars or magic, or some other thing and they look like my neighbor? Absolutely not.

I've done this for years too, its not a new thing. The earliest example I can think of when I did this is Adam, Eve, and Lilith. I got told Adam and Lilith were made of dust or clay of the earth. Cool, little me pictured them matching the earth. Brown skin, dark hair, and hazel or green eyes for the grass. Maybe some undertones of red or gray, like the clay I used to see in pottery. Solid and steady builds.

Then I got told Eve was made from a rib bone. Little me then pictured an Eve as pale as bone with red hair matching the color of blood or the tissues in the body. I pictured her with a round or apple figure shape because the shape of the rib cage.

Then I started seeing pictures of paintings of them and got confused. Because in my head at the time kids were made out of the genes of their parents so they looked like them. Why does the character who is made out of this thing not look like it?

But yeah that's been a reading habit of mine for years now. Anyone else do this?

I need a story where both the villainess and heroine are reincarnated into their favorite story/game.

The villainess is trying to keep the story on track, because she loved the original story and wanted to see it concluded in real time. She'll technically be banished by the end so she can make a new life for herself after.

The heroine on the other hand was a crack shipper in her previous life, and she shipped the villainess and the prince. So she's trying to derail this story all the way to make her ship canon.

The two butt heads for how the story will go this time while the prince is trying to keep the peace this whole time.

It somehow ends in a throuple. The villainess gets her wish of seeing the happy ending of heroine and the prince. The heroine finally gets to see her ship go canon. The prince is just happy and in love with his two wives who also love him and each other.

Bonus points if the villainess and heroine were friends in their previous life or fandom rivals.

Here's a memory that just hit.

Let me tell you about the moment little Seaowl realized the gods in the Percy Jackson universe ain't shit.

It was still in book 1 before Percy left for his quest. During the scene where Percy is watching the demigods are scrapping parts of their food, the best parts if I'm remembering right, into the fire as offerings to the gods.

That moment zipped me right out of the book. Because what do you MEAN you are taking food from your babies? What do you MEAN you get the best parts? What fucking role reseversal are we doing here where the children are basically feeding the parents?

I was ready to fist fight the gods.

I was also a swimmer at the time so I knew as active as the demigods are at camp they needed that food.

I just hope SOMEONE noticed this and made portion sizes bigger at camp so the demigods were actually getting fed properly despite their greedy parents. Also hope at least one of them (maybe it happened to Mr D) got their ass humbled by coming to camp and the demigods thought, oh parent is here and instead of burning the offering they just try to feed their parent and it becomes something of a wakeup call.

But anyway when little Seaowl realized the gods were taking food from their babies' mouths that's when she fully realized they ain't shit.

Say Francesca jokingly asks Penelope to tell her something wicked, and Penelope starts listing all the felonies she committed that Colin knows about.

Francesca's interest is peaked, and so is Colin's blood pressure.

Mr Bridgerton and the Earl of Kilmartin have chase their wives around London during the season because they ARE gonna commit felonies.

Colin is stressed. Michael is half amused and half stressed. Penelope and Francesca are planning all the felonies they are gonna commit in Scotland.

Colin finally has a buddy who he can stress with. Michaela is 50/50 if she joins in or stresses with Colin.

Penelope and Francesca are refreshing on Scottland laws so they can effectively break them.

the artemis ii mission reminds me why i love humanity so much. they play pink pony club for the astronauts. they have issues with microsoft outlook. one of the astronauts named a moon crater after his late wife. a jar of nutella just flew by. they make 67 memes because they’re big nerds with huge hearts who say that we look beautiful from there. they call dibs on sleeping arrangements and the mission specialist likes sleeping like a bat. the pilot’s daughter shows her dad off on her social media.

dunno just sometimes helps to think that we can do things like that.

Sad headcanon time

Had Naruto and Sasuke died fighting each other I could see Sakura using her seal to keep her appearance the same age as when the incident happened. In a way she is frozen in time too

They never got to grow older and she has a hard time growing older without them.
