Prayer circle for me today besties I have to do two meets
Just one more week in this hellhole
amazing view on break
great newssss, i have:
changed all the acciaiccifdjfgktura thingies in the midi files to notes because i think that's why it was fucking up. i haven't exported it as a midi yet though because no one wants to see that you did this work at 2am
i have the beginnings of an eflyer
i have tried and failed to sign into zoom so i can't make a scheduled meeting link... why doesn't the SSO thing work? fuck knows!!! (i tried it on firefox, chrome, AND the app on my phone. none of them worked. what gives)
i have drafted a reply email to that person at work who insists on using teams... however nobody else i know at work uses teams (except for the admin staff perhaps, because they're always like 'do you want to meet on zoom or teams'; all the other staff use zoom...) anyway. i drafted it. my mum made a suggestion on how to nicely say 'i don't do catering, or rather i can, but i'm still gonna have to ask this other person who's also working for you, so you might as well ask her directly yourself...' i mean, i'm not gonna say it like that, but my initial idea was better, whereas my mum's was just "blah person has the catering contacts" lmfao ffs. mine was more "sure i can do the catering but i will still need to talk to blah person as she has all the contact details"; i would actually like to revise this to "i could do it but it might be best to go direct to blah person as she has all the catering contacts and i do not" lol. but my mum is worried about me telling people what to do, which, fair enough, some people are Sensitive
speaking of sensitive, and on an entirely different topic... someone in the band is Touchy about getting a long chain of emails, which is what happens when everyone clicks "reply all". bruh. he's sent like two emails telling us to just click "reply" rather than "reply all"............ (the second one even contained some capslock lol) but like if it bothers you that much, why don't you just filter us all off into another folder, or something similar...... this is soooo classic 'i want to change other people's behaviour because it makes me uncomfortable/etc', but what he doesn't know is that YOU CURATE YOUR OWN SPACE. WE DON'T MIND IF YOU BLOCK ALL OF US. i think someone in the band is very offended about this lol (she's about my age so she would get the curating thing). also, now, instead of clicking "reply all", the main chatterbox is still clicking "reply all" but deleting the problem guy's email off it lol. (because YES you can't stop us all from talking ffs.) meanwhile, the one who's about my age is still clicking "reply all" and not removing any emails, yoloooooooo. she's right, though.
btw, it's so interesting how blocking is viewed differently through the generations. millennials block like there's no tomorrow. gen z, i'm not sure. i've heard stories of minors going into 18+ spaces and demanding that things should be censored, but that could just be a young people thing. i think my parents get very :O when i mention casually blocking people. it's interestingggg
btw no. 2: on the generational thing... lately i've been thinking that we should've divided up the generations not based on 'do you remember 9/11' because that's so american, but by 'did you ever have to handwrite an essay and go to the library to do your research' or something similar like that, to do with technology. i thought of this because i saw an insta reel about '90s kids'; what they meant by it was actually '90s teenagers' which i was not, so i related to absolutely nothing in the video. i've never had to handwrite an essay. i've never had to go to the library to do my research. i've never even opened an encyclopaedia britannica (in fact i only vaguely remembered that it was even a thing via the video, and then my parents talked about it when i asked them about handwriting/researching essays back then). i calculated that if i'd been born in 1987, i would've had about one year of handwriting essays and going to the library to do research before computers and search engines kicked in... so yeah, maybe the generations should've been divided at around 1987. certainly by 1985 imo; i've spoken to some 1985 people and they still prefer to handwrite work (??????????) and i just. have nothing in common with them.
anyway boooo what do i have to do tomorrow. send emails lol, and export the midi, and try again to get into zoom wtf.
also i want to try and legally get photoshop for free, like i had it before. but i can't remember how i did it. that'll be worked out tomorrow too, i suppose.
I am SO glad I'm leaving this awful job
I kinda wanna go home right now
