On October 10 from 9 am to 6:00 pm at @galeriekuchling I am going to give a sculpture workshop made with objects found in the vicinity of the gallery. The participants and I will make small sculptures with objects found in the vicinity of the gallery, from waste objects or plastic, to branches, leaves and stones. Our goal is to change our gaze on the objects that surround us and that we normally ignore, or do not consider interesting and we label as garbage /useless remains,all within our natural environment, the city of Berlin. It will also try: 1 - to awaken the creative and playful side of the participants, taking them out of a routine where everything is done according to economic objectives (here our objectives will be spiritual) 2- to review and rethink our relationship with the objects that surround us, where everything that does not have a specific practical function is discarded, in this workshop everything that does not have a specific function is what will be used and what interests us the most. 3-to being aware of our limited power of decision and accepting that the majority of decisions and actions that we experience throughout the day are the result of chance or of connections so complex that they seem random. Chance is important in this workshop, as during the "search" and "find" of the work materials as well during the intuitive assembly of the sculptures. Taking part in the workshop is free, each participant is only asked for a voluntary donation to cover the materials that we will use to assemble the sculptures. It is necessary to register in advance to participate, by sending an Email to: [email protected] or on the gallery Instagram, Facebook or the gallery's website. The workshop will be taught in English, German, Spanish and Italian according to the needs of each participant.
