Check out the official World Cube Association website; over 26,000 people have competed worldwide in the 3x3x3 Rubik’s cube event! Get out there, buy yourself a Rubik’s cube (and the other extraordinary puzzles featured in competition), learn how to solve it on YouTube or another resource, and go meet some more neat people at competitions! Competitions are held all over the world, on most Saturdays and Sundays of the year- use the user friendly interface of the WCA website to search and find one being hosted near you! The website keeps all personal, national, continental, and world records and organizes them neatly for viewing! Remember, you don’t have to be fast to enjoy yourself at a competition!
