Speaking about anthropological tours in Mt. Tonglu, the story we get about the previous heavenly dynasty (which I am very ! about, I was wondering about this kind of thing but was not expecting to get anything) brings up fascinating thoughts in a continuation or modern au of in fact divine anthropology (of the trying to figure out history type; not sure if there’s another word?). (Or even not a modern version, but in-universe-as-is scholarship!)
Which - would you have to try to get it entirely from human records, or are there ways to try to get something from the heavens? Is archeology in the heavens a thing? Did Jun Wu ascend to an empty heavens or did things stick around? If it was empty could you find traces? (And was this a special case or do things disappear under some conditions in general).
[Spoilers below this]
(I mean given what I know about Jun Wu I’m suspicious this is not the real story, but, in the universe where it is.)
