can you do hyuse and kazama with a gf who is really stupid but funny? (world trigger)
ofc!! please enjoy, anon!
Bubbly Girlfriend
Kazama, Hyuse x fem!reader
-fluff
-Kazama, on the outside, seems very... over it. He has the tendency to not truly show how he feels on the outside and this is no different. Anyone who sees you together always has to do a double take because, really? Kazama with someone like you?
-That's not to say he doesn't love you any different though. He might not laugh at your jokes and he might call you stupid sometimes but deep down, there's a sort of devotion to you that he could never deny.
-Even if you're in Border and have a trion body to fight with, he'll always have an itch to go make sure you're alright. He's almost relieved when you have to bail out because it means you're out of trouble.
-He sort of feels like your bubbly personality just makes you better to be around. At first he seems like someone who isn't drawn to those kinds of people but he does find himself enjoying your presence and slightly loud nature compared to his introverted teammates.
-Hyuse on the other hand feels as if your bubbly personality isn't suited for combat at all. He's always telling you that you should stop trying to be a combatant because you're not suited for it. Although this sounds mean, it comes from a place of care.
-He subtly laughs at your jokes and will call you stupid more openly and with a hint of love in his voice when he says it. He secretly likes your bubbly personality and can't help but want to be around you all the time.
-Even though you might not be the best for a job, he'll always insist on going to you when he's having trouble with human technology. He'll wave anyone else off and say he'll ask you instead and even though you might not explain it clearly, he somehow manages to catch on relatively fast.
Edit: This getting liked still is honestly a jump scare when it see it LOL. Maybe I’ll come back…? Idk
content: [mermaid!au] [gn!reader] [Tetsuji Arafune x Reader] -- can be taken romantically or platonically but mostly leans towards the former.
(I saw on his fandom page the he can’t swim very well and this idea popped into my head!)
status: edited/proof read + requested
character(s): Tetsuji Arafune
warnings: Arafune almost drowns, reader is the mermaid. Not much dialogue (seriously though). Might be OOC, did my best to keep him IC tho. Written from his pov.

He stood on the beach, observing the breathtaking, cerulean blue ocean. The orange and violet hues of the setting sun gave the surrounding area a calming sense of warmth. The sand was soft beneath his feet.
The sea was like a vast, sparkling canvas of the clearest blues; calming, yet an unpredictable danger to the unwary. He knew it wouldn't be the smartest to walk into the alluring waters, but he did it anyway. He knew his limit.
As he slowly waded into the clear, shallow depths, his worries faded.
"Ahh... What a great idea this was," he said sarcastically.
Despite his inability to swim, he wasn't worried. Until a stray current suddenly ruined his stable footing. He slipped.
The next thing he knew, it was dark. Nothing but a blue abyss around him. His eyes stung from the salty water, so he shut them. The water was bitter and briny. It flooded his tastebuds. Everything was quickly fading into a disturbing quietness. His throat burned as the seawater started to choke him.
Though, he wouldn't just let this happen. He attempted to swim back up, doing his best to stay calm as he tried to kick his legs and not helplessly flail his arms.
He forced his eyes open despite the stinging of the water. Only for a second did the surface get closer, then it started to move further and further away from him.
Admittedly, he was scared and truly didn't know what to do at this point. But he kept trying to get back to the surface, but the ocean was unforgiving as it swallowed him whole. This was turning out to be a horrible day for him. Maybe his last if things went on like this.
He could see the bubbles of his own breath, the precious oxygen from his lungs quickly floating to the surface. The direction he wanted to go. Now he was starting to panic.
Just when he thought he had no chance, he suddenly felt his weight being dragged by something. Someone? He tried to open his eyes, but the force of pushing against the current was too much at the moment. Only a glimpse of sequin looking material caught his eyes.
And then he could breathe again. He gasped and coughed, quickly blinking away whatever water was stuck in his eyelashes. It took a moment for him to recompose himself. His lungs burned.
Then he heard an unfamiliar voice, "You alright...?"
It startled him. He whipped his head in the direction of the voice's source. In the process, he realized he's been taken to a small rock island a decent ways away from the shore. Then he saw them.
At first glance, they looked like a human. But a second later he noticed a tail. A mermaid's tail. They were a mermaid. As scaly and as shiny as it was, it looked smooth.
Only then did he respond, "Not exactly."
He saw their expression turn to one of worry. Other than that, he couldn't help but notice their beauty. Just like the sea that had almost taken his life.
A couple moments of silence passed.
"Are you... afraid of me?"
That question caught him off guard. But he answered honestly.
"I am," he said, "but thank you for saving me."
He took in another breath, now calm. He was indeed grateful for what they had done. Slowly, he turned his gaze to the distant shoreline. The current had taken him farther than he'd originally thought.
His attention was taken back by his savior when they shifted uncomfortably, their tail splashed lightly in the water.
A bead of water dripped from their hair, "Uh... Wanna back now?"
He nodded silently, still in mild shock.
Now here he was, safely back on land. The mysterious being of the sea was laying in the safety of the shallows. He stared into their eyes for what seemed like forever.
He got curious, "What's your name?"
"y/n."
Then it went quiet again. But it wasn't awkward this time. It was more of a comfortable silence.
They broke it, "Hey."
He looked directly into their eyes.
"Will I see you again?" they continued, almost sounding lonely.
"... Yeah," he didn't know what had compelled him to say that.
But he did and he didn't want to take his words back.

a/n: AHHH... sorry if this is a bit iffy, which it is. I haven't properly written an x reader in so long. It's genuinely been a couple of years.
Pairing: karasuma kyosuke x g/n reader ( might get a little ooc nearing the end )
Genre: fluff
Type: oneshot
Content: two friends being painfully dense at each other's feelings
Warnings: some light cursing, that's pretty much it ( takes place in season 1 of world trigger ) ( you're part of the gang )
(a/n: not an op fic this time! i am absolutely mortified that there isn't much world trigger ff for me to indulge myself in so yes this is very much a self-indulged ff. i have a hc that karasuma is just naturally good at skating sports bc he brings his younger siblings out skating often so enjoy.)

"Raijinmaru, roll over!"
. .
"Raijinmaru, spin!"
. . .
"Play dead!"
Thud. A loud sound reverberated throughout Tamakoma's HQ Branch on a seemingly quiet Saturday afternoon. In the living area, Border's strongest agents were gathered, planning to discuss the latest Neighbors' attack, but more importantly – who was on dinner duty that day.
"What was that noise? I figured it was Raijinmaru but it seemed to be coming from above." Konami questioned, hesitantly rising from the sofa chair.
"The truth is, we hired a bunch of pest control people to remove a giant roach that's been lying dormant in Jin-san's room. That thud must've been them finally killing it."
"I see, that sounds awful. I hope Jin-san's alright. I could never imagine what I would do if such a horrible-"
"I lied."
"...What?"
"I lied. You fell for it again, Konami-senpai."
. . .
"Why'd you not tell me it was a lie?!" Osamu's cries echoed throughout the lving room as Konami proceeds to put him in a headlock, tormenting her victim for the nth time that week.
You chuckled as you watched your beloved kouhai fighting for his innocence, his two teammates on each side trying to pacify their fuming senpai. Glancing to your left, you noticed Karasuma's amused look as he sips on the jasmine tea Usami had prepared for everyone.
"Karasuma, stop telling Konami-senpai unnecessary lies. I almost fell for it."
He hums as if he's deep in thought, his thumb and index finger resting on his chin as he leaned towards you. Heat rushes to your cheeks as you shrinked at the sudden close contact.
Karasuma Kyosuke, Border's resident scruffy hottie. It was not news that Torimaru's charming looks had captivated the majority of the girls' population at Border HQ. Even with rank A's PR squad member, Kitora, having an obvious crush on him, he rarely entertains any advances on him. Rather, he is painfully dense towards them.
The amount of times Reiji has seen a girl approach the two of them during training only to scurry away in embarrassment after, was only a handful, but it was enough for him to start questioning his squadmate's obliviousness.
"Do you never notice those girls trying to make a move on you? Why don't you ever give them a reply?"
"...They were flirting? Huh. Couldn't tell."
"You know, for a guy that lies often, you're exceptionally talented at not reading the mood."
"What's that supposed to mean??"
Looks aside, his skills were nothing short of extraordinary. Being a middle-range All-Rounder, Karasuma's trigger comes in handy during battles with a numerical advantage. Being able to attack and defend all while supporting your teammates was a difficult task, but Karasuma does it effortlessly.
That is why, your feelings of admiration and adoration for him were justified, right?
Having been in the same squad as him for quite some time, your respect for him has steadily grown. No one could deny that he was an asset to the team.
Thus, feeling overjoyed when he reached new achievements, and disheartened when he gets defeated, were like second nature to you.
You were even agonizing over him when he got hurt, which led to a series of nights where Konami shared the room with you, comforting you when you almost passed out from near exhaustion.
Despite that, you swore that you were just an avid supporter, and he was just a respected teammate. Nothing more, nothing less.
So why was it that the distance between the two of you had caused such distress and confoundment?
Getting a good view of his side profile, you begin to mark out his eyes, a dirty golden under the warm afternoon sun. Soft wavy hair draped around his eyes, swaying gently whenever a breeze passes by. You hear your heartbeat quicken and you could've sworn it started beating out of your wrist. Shutting your eyelids tight, you prayed to heavens that he couldn't hear your uneven breathing. Well this isn't good.
"When it's you, I could never lie. I wouldn't do it either."
Your eyes flew open as you gazed upon the man before you. His body hadn't moved, but his eyes rest on yours, studying your expression. His head tilts towards you slightly, and you spot the smallest smirk evident on his face. Oh you are so going to kill him. What kind of blatant lie was tha-
"Hm, this is the first time I've seen you uttered a total truth, Karasuma-senpai."
Kuga's frank statement made you did a double, nay, triple take. Torimaru? Not lying? Impossible.
The person in question freezes at his kouhai's interjection, quick to straighten up after realizing their attention had turned to the two of you. Meanwhile, your mind was running a mile a minute. Is he for real? Did he really mean what he said? Beads of sweat start to form on your face as you recalled a certain incident.
You winced as the damp cloth lightly brushes over your swelling temple, careful not to fidget around too much. Karasuma retracts his hand, muttering a small apology before continuing to treat your bruise, his touches more gentle than before.
"This is why I didn't want to do this. How could you fall face flat on a skateboard?" His calm voice almost lulls you to sleep, had not been the fact that your head felt like it was a skate away from splitting open. You struggled to open your eyes, letting them roam everywhere except to his.
You knew it was a bad idea the moment you asked him to teach you to skateboard. He was quick to refuse, but you were even quicker to refute. You stubbonly argued that him being able to skateboard must have contributed to his skills as a Border agent, hence you had to learn it as well.
Karasuma eventually relented, seeing how adamant you were at proving your theory. He suggested that you wore some training gear for a first, but being the overconfident person you are, you declined, and who was he to stop an unwavering determination?
Alas, that resolution was very much short-lived.
Your eyes ultimately rests on your lap, the feeling of guilt starting to creep in. You couldn't blame anyone but yourself, and now you had paid the price. If you had just listened to Torimaru's warnings, all of this wouldn't have happened. You silently cursed to yourself. The one time your stubborness was apparent, you had managed to embarrass youself in front of him.
"I'm sorry."
You noticed the slender fingers on your temple had stopped, hovering just above your swelling bruise. Unsure of his reaction, you looked up hastily, and instantly regretted it.
Faces being mere inches away from each other, his golden eyes were staring right into yours. His expression was unreadable, and you could hear your thoughts at the back of your mind yelling at you to look away, but you simply couldn't.
His eyes had captivated you, and you found yourself gazing back with just as much force. You could feel your face starting to glow red, and the hairs on the back of your neck standing. How are you surviving this? You had no clue.
After what seemed like forever, he lets out a small smile, and you could barely notice his eyes soften towards you. He finishes treating your wound, and rests his palm on your head, gently ruffling your hair.
"It's alright, i'm just glad it didn't get any worse. I wouldn't forgive myself if I had caused you anymore pain. You're special to me after all."
You had to stop yourself from getting whiplash as you spun your head away from his enticing gaze. Hiding your face behind the back of your hand, your heart starts to race as your hands start to turn clammy. What the hell..when did he get so brazen?
"-Y/n? Hey y/n? You still with me?" A hand is brought into view as you blinked away the sudden recollection. You shook your head as you realised where you were, and tried to focus on what was in front of you,... but oh how you wish you didn't.
There he was, bending down to your level, a hand beside your thigh while the other tries to garner your attention. It was just the two of you left in the room, you realised. The others must have left when you were deep in thought. Oh dear, how do you keep ending up in these situations?
Quickly recovering from your state of mind, you nodded at him, a little too fast for your liking. He chuckled as he explains to you that Jin had ordered pizza for dinner and that everyone was headed to the dining room. You thanked him and let him know that you would be out in a minute.
"Alright, i'll wait for you at the table. Better come soon before Kuga eats it all." He flashes his signature smile before moving towards the entrance of the living room. Just before he steps out however, you call out to him.
"Hey, what did you mean when you said that I was special to you?"
..You saw his back freeze at the sudden question, but it visibly relaxed a few moments after. You were slightly nervous as to what he was going to say, but you needed any type of clarification you could get.
Without missing a beat, he turns his head to the side, and for the first time you see a bashful smile appearing on him.
"You matter to me more than anyone here." Karasuma mutters quietly. It took you a painstakingly long minute to process what he had just said, and by the time it sinked in, he was already long gone.
You slowly reached up to touch your flaming cheeks, getting increasingly aware of how red it was becoming. You couldn't even hear your fast-paced heartbeat, your mind running a million thought per second. That was when you knew, that you had fallen in love with Border's resident scruffy hottie, Karasuma Kyosuke.

note: reader is Yuma’s twin, set before Yugo dies, set before Replica says ‘You’re the one who decides that’ whenever Yuma asks something in which he could do. reader is gender neutral.
“They all look so good...” you whined and buried your head in your arms that were situated on top of the table. Just looking at the food is too tempting. You had to resist temptation even while you were heating up the food earlier. “I hope Dad and Yuma would hurry up and pick what they want to eat.”
“(Y/n), you should designate who eats what meal so that once they come back, all three of you could start eating.” Replica suggested, hovering over your head. Floating close to the three bowls of fish, pork and chicken, each bowl only good for one person. “All of these are leftovers, which means that all three of you would eat different meals.”
You hummed and shifted your head a bit so that one eye could peek over your arm. Looking directly at your chaperone, you said. “That’s not my choice to make, Replica. I thought you know that?”
“Hm?”
“If I can, I will eat all of this food. But I can’t because Dad and Yuma won’t have anything to eat and there isn’t enough ingredients to cook for them. Besides, I’m fine with whatever I can eat, I just want to give Dad and Yuma opportunities to eat whatever they like or rather crave between the three.”
“You should be more assertive, (Y/n).” Chided Replica.
“I’d rather not be when stupidly brave is my normal thing.” You huffed and continued to hide your face from there. Although your voice was muffled, Replica could clearly hear you say, “Being assertive is Yuma’s job. He’s the older one.”
“You’re twins, (Y/n). You should also exercise those traits you deem only older siblings could take on.”
“Where’s the fun in that?” You whined. “Five minutes, five years. It doesn’t really make a difference, does it? Time is like that. Even if our gap was within a few seconds, I’m still younger. But that’s okay, at least our age is the same. There won’t be generation issues.”
“I still think you rely too much on Yuma.”
“He’s eighty percent of my impulse control, I have to rely on him.” You grumbled, you lifted up your head and rested your chin on your arms. “It’s not like I want to be reckless, it’s just that everything I do is reckless more or less.”
“Good thing Yuma is dependable.”
“Of course he is,” you grinned up at Replica. “he’s my older brother.”
“They’re panicking too much, is this their first time to see a Trion Soldier?” Yuma mocked at the men who were on defense duty while a neighbor had passed through a gate. The men did not attempt to engage a battle with the neighbor and are trying to make a hasty retreat. Such a decision would surely lure the Trion Soldier into their hideout.
“(Y/n).” Yugo called out. You were sitting on the edge of the wall, hugging your legs loosely while enjoying the view of cowards running amok like headless chickens. It was funny for you and even Yuma would agree.
“Yes?” You hummed, taking your sights off of the squad and looking up at your father who was already looking down at you.
“Can you help those men?” He asked.
You tilted your head and quickly glanced back down at the singular Vander. “I dunno.” You shrugged your shoulders and looked back up at your father. “That’s your decision to make.”
“Go on, wreck havoc.” Yugo waved a hand in a shooing motion and you grinned at him.
“Roger!” You hopped off the wall and went to work.
“Is (Y/n) suddenly incapable of making decisions?” Replica asked.
“It’s fine, at least (Y/n) is extra careful nowadays. Being reckless is in (Y/n)’s nature, there are times that it can’t be helped. I think it’s a way of asking for assurance. ‘I can definitely do it, but will you let me do it as I please?’ Is what (Y/n) probably meant.” Yugo crossed his arms as he watched you fought the Vander with ease. “Yuma, on the chance that I may be gone for some time or may be gone forever, you will be the one deciding most of (Y/n)’s battles.”
“Eh?” Yuma pouted and raised his arms to fold his hands behind his head. “Why do I get to decide on that?”
“Because (Y/n) would only take action depending on the situation and the current mood. Sometimes, you have to tell (Y/n) to fight and then (Y/n) would start to get serious.” A smile crept up Yugo’s face as he saw the Vander being split in half thanks to your sword. “(Y/n) sees things as if they’re games. A little push here and there could set things straight.”
“How about my own battles? Who will decide them?” Yuma asked.
You and Ko were never the kind of couple to show off your relationship to the whole Border, at the contrary. Usually, you two kept quiet the fact you were together, and only people close to you knew you were dating. You didn’t mind : in fact, you were even the one who asked for the discretion, not wanting to be treated differently because you were Border’s 4th Attacker’s lover. Even after your respective victories in rank battles, you left the celebratory kisses to when you were alone or in small committee – meaning, your squads.
But this time, the fight you just had gotten out of wasn’t an ordinary rank battle between Border squads. The enemies you had to face weren’t fellow agents, but dangerous Neighbors who you didn’t doubt had a very malicious intent. Your respective trion bodies didn’t come out unscathed : trion was leaking from your leg and Ko’s torso, but at least you had kept all your members, a luck that some of your teammates didn’t get.
So here you were, side to side and a large smile on your face, in front of a few agents that assisted you in the fight. It hadn’t been easy, but you had won. You had fought together, and you had won.
- We won, declared Ko, almost as to seek confirmation. We really won.
Had the pair of you been in your real bodies, you would be sweating and panting like crazy. You didn’t believe you could be pushed that far beyond your limits… One humanoïd Neighbors could easily take out an unprepared squad, making all their training useless. But you didn’t Bail Out, no. Besides staying on one piece until the end, you had also managed to knock out said Neighbor, who was now laying on the ground, their Trigger cautiously confiscated.
- We did it ! you yelled in a burst of joy, holding a fist out to the sky. We freaking did it !
Quickly, your enthusiasm spread to the rest of the group like a wildfire, especially Ko who was watching you as if you were the sun of his life. He suddenly took your hands in his.
- Kiss me.
And without thinking, you did. A messy kiss, with the two of you grinning as if it was your first time. Like the real gentleman he was, Ko picked you up from the ground and did a spin with you in his arms, making you giggle like a teenager in love. Well, maybe you were a teenager in love : that’s why you didn’t even notice the others cheering.
HELLO HI!! I wanted to ask if you possibly could write Arashiyama from World Trigger with a black cat S/O? Like imagine Arashiyama, the face of border who's lively and a nice guy with a partner who could probably kill someone with just a glance. If you don't do world trigger so sorry! Please feel free to ignore this🙇♀️
i do like this dynamic a lot... i will always write for world trigger though, it'll forever be a favorite in my heart!!
Black Cat x Nice Guy
Jun Arashiyama x gn!reader
-fluff
-You are the polar opposite of Arashiyama... He's the optimist and you're the realist. It's always so jarring to people who don't know either of you when they find out you're dating... It always confuses them to no end how he fell for you when he's the exact opposite.
-He's the type of guy to say what you're actually thinking when you don't say anything. He relays what you're thinking because he knows you're... intimidating to say the least.
-If you have a soft spot for him, that's even better (for him at least). Nobody else will see it but he will and that's what matters to him! How you treat him (and his family) are important. Even though you come off as standoff-ish, he'll still love you if you treat him and his family well.
-Treats you similarly to his siblings in the sense that he really likes to show affection. He'll always to share some sort of physical affection with you no matter what complaints you voice about it. Hopefully you enjoy it deep down and are just too embarrassed to admit it to him...
-And as his s/o, you have to be okay with him (and sometimes you) being on television... It's always a little awkward when he has to talk to a reporter when you're around because you're in the background glaring (unintentionally) at the camera. But to him, your glares aren't really glares and instead it's just your resting face (RBF...).
