Something just came to me in regards to the Eve!Lilith!Alastor + What If Orb Au.
The Hotel Crew all saw Eve's life, including her switch with Lilith at the last second.
Lilith, who was supposed to be the Mother of Humanity. Who never ate the Fruit of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Who, upon trading places with Eve, became the True Mother of Humanity, as was originally intended.
And yet, Humanity managed to Sin anyway. No fault on forbidden knowledge, no Heavenly interference, just descending from the First Man and Woman, created directly by God's hand.
Meanwhile, Eve only had one child. Her daughter with the literal Devil, Charlotte Morningstar, who is arguably the purest soul in Hell(in comparison). Charlie, who is trying to save the souls of Sinners by redeeming them so they can go to Heaven, something none of the higher ups in Heaven even thought was possible until Sir Pentious.
After watching the beginning of Alastor's life, Lucifer is going to realize this. He's going to realize that, because Eve was actually HIS wife and mother to HIS child, the effects of the Apple never affected Humanity at all. Everything that Heaven blamed him for in regards to Humanity's capability to sin was flat out wrong.
Lucifer never fucked over Humanity.
Humanity is just naturally fucked up.
Exactly! I also like when it is shown in the World's Watch version, cause then not just Lucifer and the Hazbin's but all of Hell, and more importantly HEAVEN AND EARTH get to see that - humans were made with free will. Adam never ate the apple, Eve never gave it to him, she never needed to. Heaven punished Lucifer and (they thought) Lilith for unleashing Evil by giving that apple and disobeying them - but Evil actually broke through when they took Eve's free will away. Christianity and other Abrahamic religions get to learn that Eve and the apple wasn't the original sin, the original sin was Adam refusing a no, and the angels (I'm gonna spare Sera here and say it was the Elders, the ones we see scolding Lucifer and that he flashes back to, that took Eve's Free Will away)
HEAVEN disobeyed God's plan by taking Eve's free will away, and things ended up with Adam and Lilith having kids and starting humanity anyway.
And then they see that Eve, who ate the apple, who has the Root of All Evil obsessed with her and wanting to possess her - had only one child, Charlie, who is a woman who believes in forgiveness and redemption and actually succeeded in redeeming a hellbound soul.
Eve, the apple - they were never the issue.
Lucifer, meanwhile, gets to realise that sinners weren't his fault - and when he blamed himself for giving Eve the apple in front of his wife, he was telling her that he wished she'd never been set free, that she would have stayed an empty puppet to be raped by Adam and have equally empty children.
