Cider reaches new heights (literally)!
It might not obviously represent all the cider world, but I took my old 2Towns Ciderhouse shirt to the top of the tallest mountain in Asturias, Torre de Cerredo (2648m or almost 9000ft), last weekend as a way to celebrate the re-start of HardCider International. It was an impressive climb and I happy to say all three of us that went up together made it back safe and sound with only a couple of bruises.
This is my first post for HardCider International in a long time. I put the magazine on a back-burner last year as I finished up a masters in cultural and educational anthropology. But I'm back now, and ready to get the site back into gear again!
One of the first things I'm doing is updating the social media: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Little by little, I will stuff these social media sites with as much information as possible--new and old. And don't worry, I will of course be getting back into interviews, reporting on cider cultures and of course cider recipes. It might take a little while to get everything back into full gear, but I promise I will do my best to get there.
As a comment on the cider community itself: In my absence this last year, I've noticed that a lot more people have gotten involved with the cider world. Not just drinking cider, but also in the cider culture. It's really exciting to see that this has taken off and I hope that I can add to that progress again!
HardCider International is back!
