I decided to paint something inspired by lion king for world lion day since that movie definitely was a huge factor in how much I love lions, so I painted my version of two lions reuniting!

The Sasan Gir Wildlife Division came up with a unique contest to celebrate World Lion Day with netizens. It’s World Lion Day! 🦁 Sadly these beautiful animals face endangerment due to poaching and trophy hunting. We often don’t think of lions as animals targeted for poaching like how Elephants and Rhinos are. But sadly, Lions are poached for their teeth and claws at an increasing rate especially since the tiger population is decreasing also due to poaching as well as habitat destruction.
