Kaede was surprised to meet her friend near the Opalarian Empire, she herselfjust stepped outside of it to catch some fresh air. But it didn’t take long for her to notice that something seemed off about him. 

“Saihara-kun? What happened to you? You look really sick!” As soon as she said that, Kaede already tried in a clumsy way to perform some healing magic on him. Another elf she met before showed her how some spells worked, but somehow nothing happened. Shuichi still looked pale and sickly as before, and his clothes were looking really worn out too. 

“Are you okay? Did someone hurt you or cast a disease spell on you? We should look for someone who has a remedy spell then!”

Kokichi already has seen his fair share of this war. There were people fighting everywhere, and of course he avoided those areas. If anyone would ask him though, his answer would be that he already had a killcount of over 100 people. Truth was though, that Kokichi didn’t wanted to harm anyone if he had the choice. Even if the people would get resurected in the end, killing was still muder in his eyes. His morals were a secret he kept with him though, there were only two people who could probably know this though, one of them was Kaito, if he would remember what happened between them in the hanger (he still didn’t know what the astronaut remembered and what not). And the other was... Talking of the devil, there was some weird gloomy boy, that only could be the person he just thought about.

“Saihara-chan, is that you? Damn, what happened to you? You look more sad and dead inside than usual...” Of course that was more teasing than real questioning. Shuichi obviously turned into some undead creature, be it a zombie, vamire or ghoul, he looked really more miserable than anything. Kokichi did feel some pity for him, really, turning into something like that must have been the worst. But then again, it was somehow fitting to his always gloomy mood.

“How you’ve been? I’m surprised you’re not staying inside a ward, are you looking for dead bodies to investigate? Maan, detectives are really gross...”

Well! He hadn’t expected to actually tumble into the gaping hole at the center of it all, but having awoken in his bed was the even bigger surprise-- after all, it’d only been a series of unfortunate events and his own daredevil’ing that’d led to his collapse into the maw of the island. Kaito’s trudging is sluggish at best, and he ends up in a place called Netwalk. The curious creatures with tablets for heads catch his attention and Kaito spends all of five minutes getting one’s attention just for it to dodge his prodding at every attempt he makes. Jab. Jab. JAB. “Hold-- STILL, why don’tcha…!” Furious pokes evaded, he ends up jamming his finger into someone’s side, and an apology is hot on his lips and he stands tall to bow again, but he stops short when he realizes just who he’d dug his digit into. “Hey, man, sorry for-- for--” He seizes the other’s shoulders, giving a couple of shakes. “NO WAY. SHUICHI?!”

Miu hadn’t been in the city for long and yet, here she was, face with another weird scenario. She figured the image of a siren fit her-- Besides, she didn’t think she looked half bad! For her, there was no way for her to turn out odd, anyways. Still, she was curious to see what others looked like. She knew she looked the best, though. If she could run into a classmate, that would make it even better! Her large horns and wings accompanied each stride the girl made until she spotted a somewhat familiar face.

She called out to him without giving him a chance to process who she was or what she looked like: “Hey, Shithara! You remember me? Of course you do. I mean, how could you forget the gorgeous girl genius?” A pause, if only to smirk at her own words. “Anyways, you look like literal shit! Where have you been sleeping lately? The fucking dumpster? Hyahaha!”

Junpei figured he had to look a little odd, at the moment. After all, he was walking about with a fluffy blue bird on his head, his swablu unperturbed by whatever looks were drawn to her trainer.

“She just perches wherever she wants.” He spoke before the other could, eyes looking up for a moment before shrugging. “If that’s what was on your mind.”

       A soft laugh escapes his lips then – as soon as he caught sight of the other. So, it was true. Everyone really was… somewhere in this city with him. It was no different then before. And yet, somehow, everything was different. Danger, though definitely a possibility, wasn’t as prominent. It no longer sat like a dagger, posed to strike.

      Perhaps that was way he didn’t mind approaching the other. Though he still was… uncertain on how to approach, especially given the mystery that still surrounded himself. (The fact remained: Rantaro, despite knowing he died, had no idea who the culprit was…) However, remembering how desperately the young detective had been trying to help out? It was a little easier to approach. He seemed like an unlikely threat. Especially when they were both out in public... “… long time no see, detective.” Rantaro calls, with a slight wave.

       He wouldn’t get too close. There was a chance that the other wouldn’t want to see him – he didn’t know what happened after his death. But, now that he’d seen him, he thought it would be nice to at least say hello. And if the other wanted nothing to do with the “mystery youth,” then he would make sure to disappear. The last thing he needed was to make anyone else’s already complicated life more so.

     Oh, there he was. This season’s detective (and their unknowing true protagonist) and also, the one that had ended Danganronpa, Shuichi Saihara.

     Tsumugi didn’t know if she hated him or loved what he had became. After all, the team had gotten a lot of inspiration upon seeing his audition tape, so she had enjoyed seeing him grow during the killing game. He had been one of their more interesting characters to create for this season.

     But he had ended it all, all because of what the killing game was. Ended the thing that gave her life meaning, the thing that gave her purpose, enjoyment and meaning to living.

     All she can hope is that he doesn’t know, know the truth of everything. But even if he does know, she’s still got the upper hand after all.

     She’s not the mastermind for nothing.

     “Oh, Saihara-kun! Did we manage to escape from the academy?”

She would lie, if she would say that the detective wasn’t one of her classmates she missed the most. After all, she did spend the most time at the academy together with him, and he was also the one she trusted with her wish. 

He surely was able to save them all in the end, right? There was no way Shuichi would do foolish mistakes as she did. He was an amazing detective after all, she trusted him with that difficult task...

But today she really walked into a boy that did look too similiar to him to be someone else. But... there was no hat? 

“Saihara-kun? That is you, right? You are here too...? And you’re not wearing your hat either!”
