Of a mortal high school” She added with a glance over her shoulder, “And I know that the devil is, quite literally, in the details. And having a good assistant,” She finished adding the last ingredient, bottling it without explaining what it was for, and turned her full attention to Pippa, putting on a crisp smile “Do you have one? An assistant? Someone who...gathers information for you, running around eagerly to do the things you’re much too busy and important for?”

“What happened?” Lilith repeated, pausing for a moment in...silent contemplation as to whether to completely share the entire, truthful story of just what had happened to Stolas, her....supposed factotum. She decided that not only was honesty the best policy...it was the only one she really had any interest in adhering to. 

 “Well, he betrayed me, which led to the death of the one thing I loved so I destroyed him in a burst of hellfire, turning the ungrateful stool pigeon to a pile of ash that has absolutely no chance of ever being resurrected” She told her frankly, though inside, something of the heartbreak of that particular betrayal returned. Stolas has been her oldest friend and companion...and in a single moment he’d turned everything against her. 

She closed her eyes for a moment, willing the feeling away and...refocused her attention on Fenella. “There’s a kitten room?”

“You really should be a little more specific Ethie,” Carina chided, turning in her chair to face the other witch properly. An elbow propped on the table, chin resting in the palm of that hand, while the other fell beneath the table, she made a show with the devilish smile on her lips. In the moment, Carina looked every bit her Father’s daughter. “Would you like to discuss my childhood traumas or do you want something more recent?” The new wound, the brand of traitor carved into her knuckled, burned at the suggestion. The witch flexed her hand opened and closed, as she silently willed it away. “I can start at one and work to the other if you’d like?”

Rey looked at the plate of food in the other’s hand, teeth biting down upon her lip as she debated with herself.  She was hungry; had always been more hungry than she realized until she’d gotten a chance to eat.  Always stuffing her face, to the point where she would never quite be able to enjoy the meal.  She was... always moving.  “I appreciate the gesture, but I don’t think I can take that from you.”  Even when she was unsure when her next meal would be - her next proper meal, anyway - she didn’t feel right taking it.  Not when it was technically someone else’s.  “You should take it for yourself.”
