After solving a pretty decent case, Hunter thought he deserved a couple of days off. He was always at the end of a phone if they needed him urgently, but Pansaw PD could do without him for a day or two. With the sun shining, Hunter decided to make the most of the outdoors. Walking down the street towards the park, his dog Diesel walking perfectly by his side without a leash, Hunter took in the sights and smells of Bostwick.
A few people gave him looks, glancing down at his German Shepherd/Husky mix, but Hunter intervened with their thoughts before they could even get words out of their mouths, knowing that they were about to bitch at him for having his dog off-lead. He’d taken the time to train Diesel, but if he acted up at all, all Hunter had to do was use a little mind trickery and he was perfectly fine.
Feeling the presence of someone behind him, Hunter sighed. Perhaps he would let this one actually say what they were thinking. “Go on then, get it off your chest,” he muttered before turning around to look at them.
