Ok..so I randomly watched an episode or two  of steven universe to see what the hype was about and I just have to say...

I'm extremely  dissapointed in the fandom for the lack of fusion fanart.  I mean, there are loads of gem ocs and stuff, but I mean outside of the show.  Do you realize the potential??  Taking you fav ship or broship and creating a fusion out of them. I need more.(ok..mostly I need a Clara Doctor fusuion called the Who...and Zutara  would be lit)

The Husbands of River vs. Wouffle

*Warning* I’m a hardcore whouffle shipper and not a River fan.  This is not written with the intent of debate, so if you ship them, then you’ll have a better day for not reading the below

That said, I actually  liked River as a character much better in this episode.  She was dynamic and funny.  The episode was pretty well put together too.  Unfortunately,  my ultimate notp is now all over my dash and people are all hyped up about  my least fovrotite dw character of all space and time.

So, from my pov, I actuslly felt like this episode did more to confirm the beauty and reality of wouffle.  Surprised? He thing is, There is an obvious idfference in the way the Doctor treats River. 

1. River is clearly not his priority.  She's  alive and out there, but they are clearly  the sort of people who aren't  exactly compatable enough  to always be together.  Remember who the Doctor was ready to go to Hell for? How long did he seàrch the universe in some vain hope of finding the souffle girl?

2. The Doctor hugely disapproves of River’s morals and being with her leads him into doing the sort of things he isn't  usually  okay with. A key part of a good relationship  is that they ispire you to be better people. Who went to the extent of making apology  cards?

3.The idea of them being married  is downplayed by numerous other marriages they’ve experienced. The idea of being one or the others spouse is painted as nbd.  River actually  confesses to being married  to  several  people and marriage  doesn't  realy mean much to her.

4. The Doctor never says he loves her. I know it isn't  a  Doctor  thing to do, but River is actually  completely  convinced  that he doesn't  and I’d say she has good reason for it.  He doesnt really do much to contradict it and it's  true that he really is never there for River, especially not how he is for Cla (even when she's  dating and isn't  so sure if she wants him there all the time).

5. Lack of recognition. The whole, ‘when do I not see you’ which he said to both Clara and River aparently doesn't  work the other way around as Rivermisses every single hint he gives. How could she who claims to know him so well just forget it like that. His actions too, although they show emotion and compassion, show little actual love and commitment.  Contrast that to his “duty of care”.

6. Wouffle references!!!  He can't  remember it, but there is something about the way he’s crying that you just know he misses something.  Then he says it! Every Christmas  is a last Christmas.  That was every Christmas  with Clara.  Why is he so bitter about HEAs? because something inside him knows he just barely  lost something that was extremely  important  to  him, lost a happily ever after

 THEN he also talks about how he cannot intervene.  Ha. Ha. *sobs* Because he was definitely  ready to rip the universe apart for Clara. He gave up his flippin home, the place he'd been searching for for ages, all for her. But then he gives  her up too because he cares about/loves her and because she makes him a better person who wouldn't  destroy the universe even for all that and 4+ billion years.

Time and Stargazer Lillies

Explanation: I posted a snippet of this ages ago and now I’m posting the rest to help me get over whouffle feels (And I’m totally convinced the random appearance of this particular flower in connection to Clara was started by me.)  Anyway, Tanner Daniels is basically the eleventh doctor and Gwen Reagan is Clara. It’s also really long so... this is part I

Taylor Daniels, an ambassador of time, adjusted his bow tie as he waited in the portal room.  The doors slid open at last and he stepped into a small receiving group. “Welcome aboard, Ambassador Daniels.  We are honored to have you here.” “An honor to meet you, Captain Hoglet.” “We hope you find your quarters satisfactory.  Your input concerning our battle strategy will be much appreciated.”  The captain motioned to two crewmembers near by.  “This is Ensign Reagan and Ensign Terrel, your assistants while aboard this ship.”  Taylor nodded to them respectfully.  Since the last civil war in the Pan System, it became a requirement for ambassadors of all types to be given an escort.  Taylor didn’t mind it—it made him feel important.  Some people still looked at ambassadors of time as useless tools of the bureaucracy.  Those who’d lived to see the confusion from the Melvin Chaos knew better.  “Thank you, Captain Hoglet,” he replied and then stopped, as he looked over Ensign Reagan.  Significantly smaller than her companion, she seemed a bit out of place.  She was also very attractive, even in regulation uniform.  Taylor averted his eyes and continued, “I’ve…um, heard so much about you, Captain Hoglet and I’m…eager, eager to aid you in whatever way I can.”

“Excellent, General Foster arrives tomorrow with Admiral Samson and our first meeting will be that evening.  I’m sure the schedule will be available to you later today.  Meanwhile, feel free to inspect the ship.  I’m sure your escort would be glad to answer any questions you have.” “Very good, Captain.  Thank you.”   Ensign Reagan stepped forward.  “If you’ll follow us, we’ll show you to your quarters.  Your things have already been stowed.”  Taylor nodded speechlessly and followed them deeper into the ship as the welcoming committee dissolved. Time travel was, like any other weapon of mass destruction, outlawed by every civilized system.  In fact, some considered it to be more dangerous than Planetary Implosion Systems.  Only once in recent history had there been any known time travel.  The Blurigans had just suffered a devastating blow from the Alcaia.  Millions on Blurig had been left to face starvation, poison from toxic gases, and the many other horrors of war.   One Blurigan, Steve Melvin, had inherited from a long dead relative much of the information about time travel that was still available.  When he was no longer able to bear watching the people around him die, he locked himself in his tech room and worked feverishly until he found a solution.  Using time travel technology, he transported the entire planet from the past to the present in what became known as a time glitch.  The people were saved –temporarily.  Of course, the Alcaia caught on fast.  Planets don’t just reappear like that.  They gathered scientific experts from all over the galaxy and developed their own time travel technology.   Everything fell apart from there.  Admirals would disappear, ships would randomly show up in enemy territory, and key figures would never even have been born.  Even individual missiles would disappear into time glitches. The Blurig military leaders went so far as to begin eliminating the Alcaia long before the war began.  Everything suddenly changed and no one knew anymore who was who or what was what.  The war spread quickly across the galaxy and across decades.  Systems would die or collapse in seconds from unknown causes.   Finally, it was a humble group of history professors meeting at a college in Namming who saved the universe.  Had it been anyone else, the Alcaia might have caught on and eliminated them.  They originally gathered out of mutual concern for the universe and began throwing ideas around.  The discussion then became serious until they came up with a detailed plan.  With their knowledge of history and study of its patterns, they were able to judge what would allow things to return to normal.  They took their plan to the council, and it was agreed upon.   One of the professors himself played with time carefully, knowing what tiny details to change without going too far.  He made sure laws restricting information on time travel were put in place before the war.  Buildings with such information were mysteriously burned and Melvin himself died of toxic poisoning before he could ever find enough information to build a time machine.  Such tiny details worked a miracle.  Blurig still suffered, but eventually a freedom crew was able to enter and save a few hundred thousands of uninfected survivors.  Everything else went back to normal, but people’s memories didn’t really change.  Everyone knew that there had been chaos and they knew that it was over.  It was like they’d all had the same long nightmare.   Any more use of time was strictly forbidden.  Even the Alcaia recognized its danger and hid their instruments.  The professor who braved time to save them was given an official title as Ambassador of Time and several of his fellows were extended similar positions.  After years of service in history-based council, he retired and went back to teaching at the university where he remained until his death, one of his last students being Ambassador Taylor Daniels himself. And now, the Alcaia had come back and that was why Taylor was sitting on a prime system force ship awaiting important meetings.
