From the bad ending of my Wattpad fic When Three Worlds Meet, which is basically just a clusterfuck of "all the Steve villains return." ShadowLight is the fusion of 6 people - RQ Light, TR M, TR Shadow, RQ Chest/LC Yellow, RQ Therapist Green, and RQ Blue (the holder of the blue crystal, I believe).
They fused together out of desperation, after almost everyone they knew was dying, infected, or captured. They were all injured as it was, and RQ Light was starting to lose all hope. TR Shadow never turned back to the darkness, as The Great One didn't like him at all. So instead he suggested fusing with the others in the hopes of creating a pseudo-Rainbow Steve with Darkness and Light abilities.
They're very fortunate that fusing didn't result in something worse..
