No pressure but thought you might find this concept interesting, its kind of an inversion on the Enid time travelling idea, with Wednesday being the one sent back. I outline the gist here, but the generalities are:
Its from Enid's perspective and Wednesday is a fucking mess due to a combo of trauma, time travel and the desolation of her confidence.
She intellectually knows what she needs to do but is struggling. Meanwhile Enid becomes extremely protective of her seemingly delicate roommate. Wednesday is high key clingy with Enid too.
sounds like wednesday is stuck in serious shell shock mode. Which is to be expected when almost everyone you know ended up dying
Personally, i don't think Wednesday would like to show that she was hurt and affected and in turn, would be so stoic and blank that it creeps Enid out. Because while she isn't as antagonistic, I can see her looking at Enid with a focus that's worrying to most people.
It'd throw Enid off, especially since she isn't used to having someone look at her in such a way. But after a while, i think she'd realize that Wednesday is just like her, feeling just as alone and twice as uncomfortable. Will she think of it as not adjusting well to the new environment? Yes, especially at first and it'll help bring them together
But, the longer they spend time together, the more Enid will realize that someone has hurt Wednesday more than the usual bigotry and it'll have her angrier than she expected
