Daisies in the rain 🌼☔️
My first year of really caring for the garden and my first plant has flowered!
I’m not sure what it is though as my daughter has put all the identification cards in her fairy garden.. 🧚
Oh, how I wish for soothing rain,
All I wish is to dream again,
My loving heart lost in the dark,
For hope I’d give my everything.

Another five minute writing exercise today. I’m going to try and aim to do one a day. I actually kept within the five minute timer on this one. The inspiration for the names came from things doted around my living room. It was hard for me to not focus on the names and think of ones that I considered ‘better’.
Five Minute Writing Prompt
Write about a sound that stops someone in their tracks
“What was that?” Bunny stopped, John almost running into her as he was too busy taking in the views to watch where he was going.
“Are you ok?” John shouts over the wind biting their faces.
Bunny looks around herself, there’s nothing there. Just high peaked moor land stretching as far as the eye could see. Some other walkers like themselves doting the landscape. But nothing that could have possibly made the noise that was still rattling around her head.
She nods at John and pulls her camera around from where she had it draped over her arm and neck and starts photographing the view.
John takes a few steps back from her, to allow for the shots she’s wanting and takes his phone out. The views were stunning he thought to himself as he loads the camera app and points the phone in Bunny’s direction with the view of taking a candid photo of his wife doing what she loved.
Bunny’s face contorted into a look of concern and quickly changed to agony. She dropped her camera, saved from damage by the strap, and held onto her ears and head.
John ran to her. “What’s wro-“ his attempt to shout over the wind was cut short as when he got next to her his ears filled with indescribable pain.
I have no idea what these are, but they made me feel happy 🌼
For my five minute writing exercise today I went down the poetry route as I was really struggle for short story inspiration.
Five minute writing exercise
Prompt: write from the prospective of a forgotten object.
Contrary to popular beliefs,
I am not broken.
But maybe if enough people believe I am,
I will become just that.
Lost in an eternity,
Of broken forgets.
