On February 8, 2020, the Knights of Repentance celebrated their first year anniversary of the guild's creation!
Though in lore the Knights were established earlier, the guild as a whole has grown into a loving community with so many beautiful and unique characters. The Knights are dedicated to preserving the future of Azeroth, and together, these Knights have forged more than just a new hope, but a home and family for themselves as well.
To all those who have joined and supported us, we thank you for being a part of our community and thriving with us. 2020 will bring us new adventures and story, and the Knights will continue their fight and their journeys.
For Azeroth!

On Community Building
I’ve had the honor of joining a wonderful RP guild this year, and have broken out of my shell and learned to RP among other folks and really get out there. It’s been a wonderful year, and I’ve met so many great people and made so many friends through it all. I’ve also learned a lot through my experiences, and since I was promoted to Officer, and now move on to help run this guild I’ve dedicated so much love to as Co-GM, I’ve gathered so much about what it means to create content for a community that I want to share.
1. Don’t Be Afraid of Creativity
What do I mean by this? Well, have you ever felt “my ideas just aren’t good enough” or “this idea is too far fetched no one will like it”, or even “i can’t stretch the lore this way”? Any one of those sentiments and anything similar needs to be crushed. Out the door. Putting yourself down or doubting yourself during the writing process isn’t progress, it’s destructive.
If you have an idea, WRITE. IT. DOWN. Don’t be afraid of it, don’t be afraid of how good or bad it might be, because you won’t know until you actually make the effort to bring it to life. Don’t make it a habit of saying “i’m just the worst at this” or “no one will like it why should i try”. Build a healthy mentality around your work and your planning, and focus more on the actual creation rather than the thinking about doing it.
Once it’s out there, and you have folks participating, then you’ll be able to more accurately gauge, what worked, what didn’t, and where you can improve. This leads me to my next subject.
2. ALWAYS Be Open to Criticism and Feedback
I cannot stress this enough. While I understand that unwarranted or unprompted criticism can be uncomfortable for some, you CANNOT avoid it if you are creating content for a community. If you are writing for your guild or for a group of people to interact in, it is your duty as the DM/Host to ensure that there’s enough content going on for everyone to enjoy, and that no one is getting left out or left behind. It is critical and vital to the health of your community to ensure that the doors are open for communication, and to allow your members to speak with you on what worked, and where you can improve. Receiving feedback and criticism should be a good thing, since it means your members are comfortable enough to tell you where you can improve, and allows you a better chance to more accurately grow and flourish for your future events. Nothing ruins events more than when people aren’t even having fun, or don’t feel welcome while in it.
Though, also have respect for yourself. While it’s essential to take in criticism and feedback so that you can improve upon your work, never let anyone deliver it in a degrading, rude or harmful way. Constructive criticism can be delivered without being an asshole, and there must be mutual respect. So take feedback in stride and grow, but don’t let anyone step on you over it.
And finally:
3. Have Support and Friends to Help!
Shouldering the task of creating content for a guild on your own can be tedious and even stressful, and you will run the risk of burnout at times. Have someone to talk to, to help you plan, and to help review your notes too. You can’t always do these things alone, and when creating content for a large amount of people, it’s good to have a buddy with you to help the chances of success.
Again, open communication is vital and important. Having a toxic or negative environment among content creators doesn’t create progress, it destroys it, so ensure that you are all working together to create a positive, healthy environment for everyone, leaders and participants alike. If you’re in a group where everyone feels comfortable speaking to each other freely about what’s being written and how all is being played out, then already you’re on the right track!
I hope this is insightful, and everyone has a wonderful 2019!

<Complete Shenanigans> on Area 52 is recruiting!
Complete Shenanigans is a laid back guild, looking to round out our raiding groups and mythic+. We are currently looking for tanks and RDPS! Raid days are Tues/Thurs 9-12pm EST.
The Knights of Repentance Are Now Recruiting!
The <Knights of Repentance> are a faction of heroes who have banded together to preserve innocent lives and lessen the casualties of those fighting in this war. We are dedicated to missions in reconnaissance, search and rescue, research and artifact hunting, and more.
Founded by Commander Seaandra Sunblade shortly after the Burning of Teldrassil, the Knights had established themselves as an active, background force, going against enemy lines and behind both factions in an attempt to rescue wounded, and civilians endangered.
To the public, the Knights were only known as a search and rescue organization and mercenaries, but with the Fourth War finally over, and the Banshee Queen abandoning the Horde, the Knights have now begun to step out of the shadows, and make a more public presence.
“We are the defenders of the future.”

Maximum Effort is Recruiting!
Maximum Effort (Bleeding Hollow - Horde) is a laid back, semi-casual raiding guild recruiting players interested in Legion raids, Mythic+ dungeons, and players just looking for a fun, active group of people to play with.
Raiding Info:
We raid Heroic ToS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30pm until 11:30pm EST.
There is also an optional Normal ToS alt raid on Saturdays that starts at 8:30pm EST where loot is set to Personal.
Discord Voice is required for our main raid; even if you don’t have a mic to talk you must be able to hear instructions/call-outs.
Loot:
We use Group Loot on regular raid nights. All members are welcome to roll Need on upgrades while we ask new recruits to roll Greed only during a preset “trial” period. We expect all members to be considerate of one another when rolling.
Recruitment:
We are currently seeking ranged DPS roles, especially Mages and/or Shadow Priests. Melee DPS please feel free to inquire as well!
(Un)fortunately, our Tank and Healing roles are full for Tomb of Sargeras.
Not interested in organized group content but want to join a socially active guild? We typically have people online most of the day as well as an active Discord Server. If you are only looking for the social aspect of the game, we should be able to provide what you are looking for!
Social:
In addition to our raid team, our guild members form Mythic+ groups throughout the week. We also offer the occasional guild meta-achievement run for mounts, titles, and glory. Guild raid lockouts for old content are available and we have our resident mount and pet experts for those interested.
