Sean Ono Lennon floated a really great term on the most recent StarTalk: he said he’s a science groupie rather than a science nerd. Because to be a science nerd you need to understand science, but science groupies are just enamored with science in general, even though they don’t “get it,” and just kind of hang out in the wings and are just psyched to be touched by it in any way!
