When Whumpee has the realization that they're bait to lure Caretaker into a trap.
The confidence they had suddenly wiped off their face. Replaced by fear not for themself, but for Caretaker. Even the stoic Whumpees can't hide that.

When Whumpee has the realization that they're bait to lure Caretaker into a trap.
The confidence they had suddenly wiped off their face. Replaced by fear not for themself, but for Caretaker. Even the stoic Whumpees can't hide that.
When a Caretaker rescues Whumpee and Caretaker is whispering "You're okay", "I'm here", "I got you", "you're safe", othet comforting words as if they're helping a wounded animal or a scared child.

A whumpee who ruminates about the whump they went through. They keep running it in their head over. And over. And over.
Until their mental health takes a massive nosedive.
"Hey Caretaker."
The moment Caretaker heard Whumpee's voice over the phone, they KNEW that something was wrong. Usually, Whumpee speaks confidently and with cockiness. But here? They sounded... off. Stiff.
"Whumpee?" Caretaker questioned, "Where are you? What's going on?"
"Oh, it's... nothing," Caretaker could hear Whumpee swallow. "I need your help. Come to the abandoned warehouse near the team base. I found something."
A pause. Then... "And come alone. It's likr Funky Town over here."
Caretaker gripped the phone so hard they would have broken it if they had super strength. Funky Town. The code word the two had shared if either of them were in trouble. Someone was holding Whumpee hostage, maybe even listening in on the conversation.
Caretaker gulped, before they spoke, mustering enough hold to not demand where Whumpee was, if they were hurt. If they said something like that, whoever was holding Whumpee would hear it and would harm Whumpee. "Okay. I'm coming."
They hung up the phone, before glancing at their team, their eyes wide in worry and fear.
"Whumpee's been captured."
Trigger. Your. Whumpees.
They have a specific trigger? Stomp it till they have a panic attack. Make them suffer when they're triggered.
Do it.
Pirate whump x buried alive.
Whumper tells Pirate Caretaker to go on a treasure hunt: they must use the clues and hints that Whumper gave them to get to the "treasure", Whumpee.
Caretaker managed to find the spot; a beach, and proceeds to dig... and, like a treasure, Whumpee is there, who was buried alive.
A team kidnapped and forced to fight for the Whumper's entertainment.

When Whumpee and Caretaker got into a huge argument, and Whumpee storms out. A few days later, Caretaker texts them...

"Whumpee, I know you're mad, but please text me. Friend said they hadn't heard from you either."

"Whumpee, please... talk to me. Text me. Send me anything. Even something angry would work. I just need to know if you're okay."

"Whumpee?"

"It's been months, Whumpee. The police stopped looking for you. I tried to find you. Please. Wherever you are, please let me know if you're still alive."
