Rainier wanted caroline to be princess and not albert??? I didn’t know that! Recently I’ve been reading about monaco’s monarchy and just found out rainier’s grandmother was a cabaret singer, which is fascinating, and that his mother was born out of wedlock, so she had to be adopted by her father in order to be legitimized. And then when she grew older, she moved to france and turned the grimaldi state (where she lived in with her her jewel thief lover) into a rehabilitation centre for ex-convicts
