I thought of an AU where Adrien is a French Prince and Marinette is a maid who secretly wishes to become a swordsman. So she gets secret training from one of the old servants in the castle, and in the end Marinette ends up having to save her prince from dying in the hands of his evil relative who wants to be king instead, but then it hit me that... ... that was basically the plot for Barbie in the Three Musketeers.
