Headcanons for Alfred/Nat

BelaAme? You mean girlboss and malewife??

🍑 Natalia is a woman in STEM, specifically in software development. She is very tech savvy and neat with her work. She could easily hack her way into anything she desires and not get caught, but she chooses to keep her hobby private and get paid for the easier stuff. Nat’s the brains and beauty princess.

🍑 Alfred is a bit of a jack of all trades. I like to imagine him working with carpentry and electrical stuff, basically anything that requires a tool belt, a pickup truck, and lots of body strength. He sucks at getting projects completed on time, but he loves working on stuff in the garage while Nat is away at work. He also has a streamer side hustle where he gets to play games and gets paid whenever he wants.

🍑 When Alfred is not working, he often begs to visit Natalia at her job, where she gets all the cool perks of working at a tech job: free food, game rooms, massage chairs, etc. Nat doesn't often use these perks because she gets to have them at home when Alfred is there, but she generally agrees to bring him, even though he gets obnoxiously loud and comfortable in these areas.

And between Alfred and Nat, Nat is still the undefeated ping pong champion.

Headcanons for Ivan/Kiku

Inspired by @lavender-long-stories's asks, I decided to expand a bit on some of my headcanons for RusPan.

🍑 [Reposted from here] Kiku always loved how Ivan smelled: something warm and woodsy, yet crisp like a soft, wintery night. (I imagine wintery line-dry clothing with a hint of vetiver.) So, when Ivan and Kiku first started doing laundry together, Kiku would sneak in a bit of his cologne onto his wrist so that he would be able to smell Ivan’s presence wherever he went. (Unfortunately, I also believe that Kiku’s skin is sensitive to the specific “clean-scented” detergent Ivan used in the laundry, which is why they had to switch to more sensitivity-friendly alternatives.)

🍑 Ivan's job is usually very hands on. I imagine him to be an engineer or a nurse, but if he's living somewhere peacefully with Kiku in the middle of nowhere, he's carving things out of wood.

🍑 Kiku sleeps with a large amount of plushies surrounding him. Some of them are of Pokemon, some of them are from his favorite anime/manga series, but the biggest one is his personal teddy bear, Ivan. If Ivan wakes up later in the morning, he makes sure all the plushies are all neat, tucked in, and accounted for. He secretly hates them all.

🍑 They are secretly unhinged together. Publicly, they are both sort of mild and reserved as they tend to put their best face forward. Minimal PDA and private exchanges. In private, I think these two love to really challenge one another while still maintaining a level of professionalism. Basically, if Ivan is the more weird of the two in public, Kiku is the weirder one in private and vice versa. So, things balance out between them.

TL;DR: They match each other's freak.

Headcanons about Arthur/Kat (EngUkr)

🍑 Despite Arthur calling himself a gentleman, I think that he is a flawed character. He can treat anyone who is not a man with respect, but will fail to treat another man with the same energy. At the same time, he would favor anyone unlike him because he is simply a man with needs. He likes to believe that he's a good man, and he does his best to be kind, but at the end of the day he is still part gentle and part man.

🍑 I really like to think that since their companionship they have both gotten healthier. Not in the sense of they workout together more, no. I mean more of like they're eating more, they're getting more sun time (and freckles), they're spending more time doing things they like with no obligations or judgment, and they're just enjoying a peaceful life together. (And they're REALLY enjoying more of one another. Extra body rolls and all.)

🍑 Alfred occupies the EngUkr guest room and comes over whenever he feels like it. Because Kat enjoys Alfred's fun spirit and spontaneity, she likes to spend time with him often. Having a space for Alfred allows Kat and Alfred to have more sleepovers together where they binge-watch movies and eat all the snacks. Of course, Arthur doesn't approve of Alfred's constant presence, so Kat makes sure Arthur gets the same amount of attention she has given to his brother but in a more personal and intimate setting.

I may be projecting my deepest desires, but honestly... I want what they have. All of it.

Music is and always will be a source of inspiration for me, whether it's for writing or drawing. I used to gather inspiration from watching Instagram reels, but after spending a bit too much time doom-scrolling, I decided to go the more old-fashioned route and just ✨ daydream ✨

I think subconsciously I emulate the energy of a my favorite media such as the K-drama "Because This is My First Life", Vine videos, and old roleplay stories I've had with friends. But, surprisingly, the snippets I have posted to Tumblr so far are either based on real-life scenarios or things that I daydream about.

Just one! I'm saving it for a rainy day. Now, if the question was how many of them have I not removed from my inbox, the answer would be a lot more than one. ;)

Headcanons for Francis and Mattie

Note: For me, this not a ship but rather a father-son relationship. I HC for Francis and Mattie to be around 20 and 3 years old, respectively.

🍑 Francis was thrust into fatherhood while "studying" abroad for college. He first learned about his son's existence when he discovered his baby boy abandoned/left for him in his college dorm room. Seeing this as a sign from the universe that he needed to get his act together, he raised Mattie as a single dad along with some help from best friends, Gil and Toni. After college, Francis and Mattie move back closer to Francis' family to help him with babysitting Mattie while looking for work.

🍑 Mattie speaks primarily French. Francis (Papa) wanted him to know his mother's native language so that a piece of her always stayed with them, even if she didn't want anything to do with the two of them. At a young age, Mattie is not familiar with many other languages, but the more time he spends with his uncles and aunts -- Gil (GiBi), Toni (TonTon), Alfred (Alfrere), Arthur (Tonton Papa), and Kat (Kata) -- the more he picks up things from them. He is an absolute chatterbox in French, talking about everything and anything, but can be extremely timid when he isn't acquainted with neither the language nor the person speaking the language. Eventually, he picks up English and resorts to only speaking French with his dad.

🍑 Despite the hardships of mostly parenting alone, Francis has not once been cross with his son. In fact, he encourages him to be as authentic as he possibly can, even if he does something wrong. A small "we don't do this because..." to course correct his behavior once in a while is needed, but overall Mattie is self-sufficient and not interested in "bad" behavior during his younger years. Francis just supports his son's endeavors as much as his friends and family have supported him.

Did you know? HC dictates that Kat is the first female/mother figure to appear and stay in Mattie's life. This happens the first time that Kat Babysits Mattie. (That post is also the first time the world saw my baby Mattie hc.)

Headcanons for Arthur/Kat

I've been giving it some thought and I wanted to share headcanons for my faves. (Are they called blorbos nowadays?)

🍑 They enjoy spending time together at home, where all their favorite things and people are. Kat loves the outdoors but spends most of her time at home as a loving and devoted housewife (because she can and she wants to.) Arthur loves being indoors but spends most of the time outside of the house because he is almost always taking care of things. Their home is their common ground.

🍑 Arthur and Kat are insatiable with one another. Kat usually likes to initiate flirting and intimacy and Arthur gives her the space to confidently do so. He's practically enchanted every time he's with her, so there are times when his mindless thoughts surface. When they do, he always prioritizes her comfort over his desires. (Consent is like tea.) They mutually agree that kisses can and should happen as often as possible.

🍑 Thanks to her marriage to Arthur, Kat gets to be the fun, older sister Alfred never had. Their dynamic forces Arthur to be a bit more of a softie towards his brother. Kat understands that Arthur has a low patience threshold with his brother, so she is more than happy to take over. On the other hand, Kat's family is overprotective and struggles to trust Arthur. Deep down, they love him for treating her better than anyone else has, but they envy the time they do not get to spend with her. Arthur still tries to keep in touch with them (on special occasions only), knowing that they still mean a lot to Kat.

Headcanons for Arthur/Kat (EngUkr)

It's been a hot minute since I've done one of these, so I'm gonna share some headcanons I have for my lovely EngUkr.

🍑 I like to think that on the surface, Arthur is a very calm individual, but he is riddled with anxiety (especially because of all the tea he consumes). He questions everything he does and, when he does do something, it eats at him. With Kat around, he is a bit more open about sharing his anxiousness with her because she is a chronic worrier and it will only get worse the more he hides it. It started off as Arthur trying to ease Kat's worries, but as time went on Kat realized that he needed more support than she did.

🍑 Kat is the chef of the two. While Arthur can make something simple (especially if following a recipe), Kat chooses to run the kitchen. And Arthur provides her with everything he can to make sure it's a smooth process for her. If Arthur cooks, it's because he's either totally drunk or because it's a special occasion. And if he doesn't clean up every single crumb afterwards, there will be tears.

🍑 There is always something for Kat to do. She often works a lot and works hard. If she is doing something, Arthur is matching her energy and working just as hard. Because of his gentlemanly mindset, he tried to be ahead of Kat and do things for her before she can get to them. Over time, they come to the agreement that it'll be faster if she just gets to it first. Each other's efforts will always be acknowledged, appreciated, and rewarded.

They're just two anxious people with big hearts that are kind and respectful to one another. That's all, really.
