Top Ten Dramas 2025
normally i wait until a few days after the new year to post my year wrap-ups, but i decided to get it done a bit earlier this year :)
so, i'm including non-bls this year because i watched some really good dramas in 2025 that weren't considered queer (shocking, i know).
so, without further ado, and in no particular order, my top ten watches of the year were:
The Ex-Morning This was my first real foray into the world of SingtoKrist (other than Baby Bright) and I fell in love. I loved them both solo, but I never thought I would fall for them as a pairing, so this reunion was wonderful; the chemistry was there right off the bat! Okay, I think the writing got a bit sloppy towards the end of the series, but I still had a lot of fun! I am so excited for Write You Again, and I think they've entered my list of favourite couples.
Squid Game (S2 & S3) It's no surprise I love SG, but I thoroughly enjoyed seasons 2 and 3, with my only complain being the final scene of S3 (I don't care if we love Cate Blanchette, we do NOT need an American adaption, and the Americans would NOT be playing ddakji in a bloody alleyway. Ahem! Anyway, we got some of the best characters of the series in S2 and I will forever be thankful for the outpouring of love that TOP recieved for his performance.
Perfect 10 Liners I know when this series was announced a lot of people were groaning, but I knew I'd love it and I did! In all honesty, my only issue with the whole series was that I still don't see any chemistry between Junior and Mark and their arc felt like the weakest of the show for me. (Don't get me wrong, Junior's acting was AMAZING but Mark just always falls flat for me; I will admit, however, that they look really good together in Twenty One and I feel like Mark may actually impress me in that.) ForceBook were fantastic as always, and I fell for PerthSanta so hard; I've liked Perth for a while, but this was the first time I'd ever watched Santa and I feel like he brings something out in Perth that we've never seen before. I love this series so much.
Seoul Busters This show is one of the greatest Kdramas I have ever seen. It's dramatic, hilarious, and so damn heartwarming. Each character stands out in their own way, and the writing is impeccable. I would seriously recommend this to anyone who likes police Kdramas.
Gannibal This took me by surprise. The lads and I binged both seasons and this show was INSANE. It is not for the faint of heart and I wouldn't recommened eating whilst watching, but gosh damn, the writing is amazing and the acting is mindblowing.
ThamePo Everyone and their grandma has this on their year wrap-ups, but it deserves to be there.
Me and Thee Yes, I know this is still airing but it is one of the best BLs PERIOD. It's funny, it's dramatic, and it's heartwarming. PondPhuwin supremacy.
Head 2 Head Yes, I know, another one that is still airing, but I love this show so much. I only started it to watch the Newwie cameo and the next thing I knew I was addicted. Because of this series I went back and watched SeaKeen in MuTeLuv and Only Boo (a show I'd previously dropped) and it I was legally allowed to, I would adopt these boys.
The Heart Killers Was it perfect? Nope. Did I love it? Fuck yes. This show actually made me like a Dunk character!
Khemjira This show was beyond what I expected. I was blown away by the make up and wardrobe dept, and the writing was actually really good! I'm a bit of a horror connoisseur and I admit I'm a bit snobby when it comes to horror themed dramas but they did it so well with Khemjira; they actually used real Thai lore, they incorporated real prayers and spoke with monks. I felt like this show was one of the most respectful, and I loved it. Also, the cast was fantastic!
