There’s just a very long and silent stare from Soundwave at the question. She has seen him freely detach Lazerbeak and reattach them once again, so parasite is already out of the question. Technically speaking, Lazerbeak is not Soundwave’s baby, but he does take care of them.

He hadn’t realized the humans had arrived on base for that day, but then, he’d been making himself scarce in a effort to dodge lectures on team work and sharing responsibilities from the resident tryhards. He gave her a grin and abandoned his current task to focus down on her. “Yo, yerself, little lady,” he greeted, crouching down to offer his fist for the world's most mismatched bro-fist ever. “Was about to hit the road.
