I've done it. I've requested an invitation to join ao3! I'm thinking about doing stories about the world Wren. and Cin. are a part of, and I figure ao3 would be the place to write about it. I'm thinking about more characters to add. This is all speculation, so nothing is set in stone :)

the dorseys were a very average family, probably considered on the 'lower' end of middle class, but the twins never knew they were barely making ends meet. their bills were always paid (with neverending revolving credit card debt) but their idea of family 'vacations' were trips to local and close museums, amusement parks, zoos, lakes etc. because the family never had expendable money for bigger trips.

june worked two jobs, her main job working the front desk of the canadian international hockey academy, so the girls got into the academy tuition free. they were both tall for girls their age and more muscular than scrawny so it was kind of a perfect fit. they were naturals and kind of accidentally became really good at the sport.

when it came time for college, the twins elected to go to boston university together, and they worked up a reputation of being a dynamic duo on the ice. they were better together than they were apart, so imagine their surprise (and disappointment) when they got drafted to different teams after university. wren stayed in boston while her sister moved far away, and for the first time ever, they were forced to play against each other instead of playing for the same team.

the twins kind of accidentally grew apart, but they reconnect every time they are in the same city. the only time the sisters play on the same team anymore is when they are in the olympics, both playing for team canada since they are still canadian citizens playing in the usa.

wren is kind of a girly girl, which makes people underestimate her on the ice. it worked in her favor though because she kind of fell into an 'america's sweetheart' persona that she leans into an exagerrated version of during press, killing the opposing teams with kindness by saying things like 'i'm just happy to be here, you know? it's a group effort. the team's having an amazing season and i really think this is our year!' then celebrating her winning goal privately with a 'fuck yeah!' fist pump in the air as soon as she gets back to the locker room.

Ben laughed, leaning back on his chair, fully relaxed. The outside area of the fancy restaurant was probably his favorite place in town; the staff knew him by name now. He took another swig of his drink, clasped his fingers and tilted his head to the side.  “So, should we talk business?”  He was in full pre-production mode now. “I mean, that’s why we are here, right?”
