Does anyone have any specific ideas about what the different genres eat regionally? Like we know pop trolls eat a lot of candy and likely sweet baked goods, but what about other genres...
Oh and Lonesome Flats has a burger.

hijabis fashion so hard it’s stunning
Genuinely every time a Muslim woman thinks I’m also a Muslim woman I’m giggling kicking my feet. You think I’m stylish enough to be Muslim??? That I look good enough to be mistaken for a Muslim woman even when my headscarf isn’t tied like a traditional hijab??? Absolutely melting with flattery!
Do you think having a daily word count is the best way to keep yourself motivated with writing?
I think with all things- different things work with different brains and life styles.
Sharing my word count gives me a low pressure sense of accountability.
I know a lot of people I follow and people that follow me and mutuals etc also love writing and reading so for me this is the perfect forum.
I hope people see my posts and feel inspired to pursue their writing ambitions.
My main rule for myself (and advice to other creatives) in 2026 is to be kind to yourself! My inner critic is a monster and I know I’m not alone.
I do have the luxury of being able to meet with other writers in person as well and that has been truly revolutionary for me. It got me to publish my first short story and to increase my writing habits.
I’m one of those people that works well alone and with company. The company part is great for feedback or just general commiserating and a way to support other writers.
Deadlines can be helpful- even if I miss them it’s a way for me to look back (literally at my posts) and see that I’m actively working towards a goal and to not feel defeated.
I’m sure a lot of people have different methods of getting into writing on the regular and if they want to share them - please send it in an ask so I can share it.
Thank you for the ask! I know I rambled a bit, but it is a passion of mine. 💗
Now get cooking! Write that thang!
Write with me?
Anyone up for a write-in this evening?
I'm going to be messing around with some short stories this Friday! Join me for an afternoon chat~
