Fanfiction writer questions:
1, 2, 4, 12, 14, 15, and 23.
CASS IT’S BEEN 3 SECONDS-
1- From one to five stars, how would you rate your writing?
Really depends on how I’m seeing it. Compared to how I used to write? 4/5. In general? 3/5 considering that while I mostly do my writing without rereading and only edit when I deem it worthy of such, I do pretty great. However, there’s some things I’d like to do better like write scenes I can’t write yet and have a good pacing (one of my friends’ critique on one of my bits of writing)
2- Why do you write fanfiction?
Because I feel like I have a story to tell and want to share it with others by rolling it out. Also, I find it fun to come up with things and worldbuild
4- Are there any writers that inspire you?
Absolutely, and the ones I can make at the top of my head are Rick Riordan (might know him from Percy Jackson), Ru Xu (creator of the graphic novels Newsprints and Endgames), and Sarah Rees Brennan (the author of the Fence novels!)
12- Tell us about a WIP you’re excited about
Other than the ones I’ve talked about already, there’s this story I have in the making about the unconscious realm and the elders that run it, with the protagonist being a pirate determined to save anyone in search for help while trying to get back to the conscious realm. In the story, he has allies and enemies in all corners as well as a certain rival that slowly gets dragged to his side. The pirate and the rival are both on my artfight page if you want to see them! (I think I also posted them here; Captain Raspberry and Corvid!)
14- What’s your favorite fandom to write for?
I’d say it’s Sun and Moon since there’s not much about the characters so there’s endless possibilities! (Sorry to the Fence Fandom, but there’s no way I’m writing bits for the pirate au any day now)
15- What’s the weirdest fandom you’ve ever written for?
It’s a tie between Splatoon and a There Is No Game au with a friend
23- Do you prefer prompts and challenges, or completely independent ideas?
Independent ideas for sure! Prompts/challenges feel really tricky for me because I get too into my head obsessing over the idea of the writing having to go perfectly with it
