So, today I was threatened with legal action for my writing. For something which I wrote that they believe applies to them. To be clear, I write what I believe to be factually accurate; veritas; truth. And I don't write with intent to harm another. Where and when appropriate, I use pseudonyms or no names at all in order to keep the air clear for the foolish who still dwell in those dark places I call "past." Nor do I live my life with intent to cause harm to anyone, as I have mentioned in my writing recently. So, if you happen to see some of yourself in my work? I would respectfully suggest that says more about you than it does about me. I white heavy, I write hard, and I write ugly. I know that. But none of my writing is aimed at harming anyone; rather, it is a journey of self discovery that I have invited the public (as readers) to join along in because I do not believe I am the only one. There must be others methinks, so I scribble my drawings on caves walls to show the path I claimed to freedom. Because, as Rilke said, I must. All that said? I will continue to write. I will write what I believe to be factually accurate and I will not stop writing regardless of threats made to me. And if anyone doesn't like it? Methinks Anne Lamont has a point. Fuck. Off.
