I'm still overwhelmed and humbled by the massive outpouring of support so many of you showed me and @sourcepointpress during the Live Auction last Friday night. We more than DOUBLED the highest auction total to date with over $3,300 in bids(!) due to your enthusiasm for the special HOPE, HAUNTED HIGH-ONS, WRITE OR WRONG, and NIGHTMARE WORLD swag I donated from my vault. Super huge props are also due to @pops_and_vintage of @officialtwiztid and @majikninjaentertainment for a few very special bonus items they donated to the auction as well, demonstrating yet again what great partners and friends they are not only to me and us, but the findi as a whole. in grades k-12 i loved writing and drawing, but mostly writing after the 3rd grade, I would write stories, poems and songs. The ideas that would pop into my head were very questionable, I look back and think ‘how the hell did I do that as a kid? I’m not sure if I could do this now. ‘ I’m teaching myself my writing skills all over again. I’m actually having fun writing its too bad i have carpal tunnel.

I'VE NEVER BEEN SO SAD TO SELL OUT OF A BOOK. Those of you who have read WRITE OR WRONG: A WRITER'S GUIDE TO CREATING COMICS know the immeasurable importance @brianmbendis has had not only my writing career, but my very life. Back in 2001 I traveled to the Pittsburgh Comic Con specifically to meet him and get his advice on how to break into comics. He was very gracious and kind all those years ago, and his advice directly set me on my path to being a professional comic book creator with over a dozen graphic novels to my name and counting. Fast forward to a few hours ago here at @emeraldcitycomiccon, where I saw Brian walking by my table with his family. Knowing I would regret it if I didn't seize the opportunity, I shot out from behind my table to approach Brian and explain to him the impact he had on my life, including how it was all documented in WRITE OR WRONG, a book which I told him I'd like to give him a copy of. He then graciously came with me to my table... where I promptly remembered I had already sold out of the book earlier in the day. D'oh! I was mortified by the faux pas... but continuing to be the gentleman he is, he was gracious enough to allow me a quick picture. Thank you, Brian, for the life I am now privileged enough to enjoy.
