Future with You: an Amy Rose fanzine is themed around tarot cards and the four seasons. Each of the fortune card suits is linked with a season: 💥New Year Fortune, ⚡Spring Lightning, 🔥Summer Fire, 💧Autumn Water, and 💫Winter Rings. Each suit also has a Hero and Dark reading.

💥 New Year Fortune (Act 1 & 2)

Act 1 - Lunar New Year (Jan 29th) A half-chapter opening the zine with themes of community celebration and bringing good luck for the future.

Act 2 - Solar New Year (Dec 31st) A half-chapter closing the zine with themes of personal celebration and leaving behind the past.

⚡ Spring Lightning

Flashes of inspiration for a bold decision.

The light of truth zipping through the air, reaching others with lightning speed! But its power can be dangerous and destructive too.

🌕 Hero Greater insight, giving you a moment of inspiration, and getting right to the point.

🌑 Dark Warnings of being too rash or not taking other people's feelings into account.

🔥 Summer Fire

Fiery passion and a burning desire to act.

Warmth and light energize you to follow your heart and do great things. The fire that burns brightest, burns briefest. When kept poorly it can burn out of control.

🌕 Hero Encourages your ambitions and helps you make your plans before taking action.

🌑 Dark Warnings of being reckless. Ask yourself if you really know what you're trying to do.

💧 Autumn Water

Our hopes, our dreams, our emotions, ebbing and flowing like the sea.

If adrift in your relationships, find guidance and chart a course. Realize your dreams in their reflective waters. But don't dive too deep!

1. WRITERS

We accept both Authors and Poets.

We ask for one extract showing the style you think could fit the zine and two pieces which best show your skills. We encourage you to be inspired by earlier age authors, and not to refrain yourself from sharing said reference!

We put 1500 words as the maximum word count allowed for your application. This number has to be shared between the three samples, so please be careful to respect it: that way, we'll be able to accept the application.

2. [ZINE] ARTISTS

We accept both Illustrators and Character Designers.

Character Designers don’t need to send a piece with a fully shaded background, while Illustrators are highly encouraged to send them.

A good colour palette and a wise use of guidelines and focal points can make the difference in a painting: try to send us pieces that best show your skills, as in composition as in proportion and anatomy.

We accept and encourage recreations of famous paintings, if correctly quoted as reference!

3. [MERCH] ARTISTS

Merch arts will be more focused on Nature and symbology than on Myths. Merch will include Stickers, Acrylic charms, enamel or wooden pins and Bookmarks.

A creative and less “classic” style is encouraged, as a minimal or stylized one!

We're looking for Merch Artists ready to use a more symbolic and abstract design than the one requested for the zine. It is not necessary to have detailed knowledge of backgrounds, while a good knowledge of colour theory and design rules is recommended.

At the end of the Application form, you'll find a set of questions (five total) where you'll be asked to put said Elements in order of preference. The preference you set is valid for whatever God/Goddess/Myths’ creatures you would love to draw, as long as they are linked to the Element itself. 

Please notice there won't be a myths' booking in the Application Form: if you'll get in the zine, you'll be notified with your role in the project plus the Element you'll work with, while the Mythology booking will be set at the beginning of the creation process. 

Due to the potential presence of strong contents in some myths we require the contributors to be at least 18 years old even if the zine is SFW and no sexual themed pieces will be accepted.

Requirements: You must submit 3 of your best works to be considered for this zine. It is highly recommended that you include a portfolio as well. Please include in your samples the art style you wish to use for this zine! Your pieces to not need to include Atlantis the Lost Empire, but is a plus.

WRITER APPLICATIONS

Requirements: You must submit 3 or your best samples of writing, with each being no longer than 3K words. You may also link to a portfolio, which could be a link to your AO3. Your pieces also do not need to include Atlantis the Lost Empire, but could be help your chances.
